The USAV GJNC Showcase II was an unforgettable event, and some of the athletes' performances were truly outstanding. It was incredible to see players from across the nation and from different grade levels convene on eight courts to play a sport we all love. Let's dive into some unforgettable performances from pins at the USAV GJNC Showcase II.    This is an athlete who needs to be on your radar. She did all of the little things right. The first ball I saw from her, she got blocked. The next play she ran was at a different tempo, further inside the net, and she absolutely ripped the ball, terminating with clean efficiency. Kameah is a player who clearly doesn't settle for mistakes and isn't afraid to make quick on-court adjustments to her game to earn points. She was aggressive yet smart and listened well to her teammates. I saw her pull off on passing a ball after a libero behind her called it. This allowed her more time to transition, and it resulted in a clean kill. Her court awareness, both on her side of the court and her opponents, as well as her high volleyball IQ, made her stand out. She checked every box for me as a high-level player, and I was consistently impressed with her execution and strategy on the court.     Melissa was consistently relentless on the court. She is the kind of athlete that I could tell put in full effort on every single play of every drill. Whether it was warm-ups or scrimmage play, Melissa was going all out every time she touched the ball. She competed at a high level, balancing being smart, consistent, and efficient.     Peyton was a high-flying pin who had swings and shots that are tough to forget. She never missed a beat and was explosive in her movement. She was a fun athlete to watch, and she consistently terminated over and through blocks. She was consistent and quick on the court and had consistent and clean contact on the ball. Peyton had an impressive run at the Showcase and stood out to me on several occasions.     Teagan was a player I liked more and more as I watched her play. She was an all-around athlete who was a positive influence and a natural leader on the court. It can be hard to stand out as a leader at a showcase like this, but Teagan found a way to make it happen. She was aggressive in out-of-system situations, was quick in coverage and defense, and nearly always stayed on her feet so she could transition quickly. Her swings were competitive, and she wasn't afraid to swing high hands or through seams in the block.     Lexi thrived on tempo plays. She was fun to watch as she attacked the ball with an explosive approach and lightning-fast arm swing. It seemed that the faster the set, the more power she sunk into the ball. Lexi adjusted to the height and speed of different sets very well and was rarely late, no matter how fast the set was going.     Ava was dominant on the pin. And it is no surprise that her secondary position is DS/L because her serve receive was spot on. I was very impressed with her ability to pass to attack, and she was relentless on both defense and offense. Ava was a powerhouse hitter who never let up and found ways to hit around the block. She recorded kill after kill and was nearly unstoppable. She was one of my favorite players to emerge from the showcase, and she brought an incredible amount of energy and consistency to the court.
