One more sleep before Independence Day!

I thought I would begin the celebration early, by sharing some recruiting news that Kansas athletes are celebrating, and maybe provide a little boost and luck to some others.

[player_tooltip player_id='489775' first='Brynna' last='Zoeller'], 5'11”, S, Rock Creek, '26

Zoeller announced earlier this week that she has verbally committed to Pittsburg State University. She recently attended the Pitt State Elite Camp and quickly accepted an offer from new head coach Megan Besecker. She is a physical setter who could set all kinds of records for the Gorillas. Zoeller is currently ranked No. 14 overall by Prep Dig Kansas and has state championship aspirations for herself and Rock Creek Mustangs heading into the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='489751' first='Mason' last='Palace'], 6'1”, MB, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, '26

A second athlete to parlay an elite performance at the Pitt State Elite Camp into an accepted offer was Kapaun's Palace. She is a tall middle who led the Crusaders to the state tournament last season. She produced an eye-popping total of kills and blocks as a junior with 358 kills and 105 blocks in 95 sets. I was informed by the Pitt State coaching staff that she has verbally committed.

Karysn Hastert, 5'10”, OH, Cair Paravel, '26

With Zoeller's verbal commitment in the books, that makes Hastert the highest-ranked Kansas athlete still on the big board. To my knowledge, she is still uncommitted. The Cair Paravel hitter is ranked No. 15 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She recorded 365 kills and 85 blocks last season for the Lions. Hastert is competing today with [program_tooltip program_id='515493' first='Club' last='North'] at the 16 Nationals in Dallas.

[player_tooltip player_id='489348' first='Kyndal' last='Moore'], 6'0, MB, Ellinwood, '26

Ellinwood's Moore has verbally committed to play for Emporia State. She is a quality small-school multi-sport athlete who loves to compete. If she played in a larger school, she would be a hotter commodity. She has a big reach and the skill to take over a match at the net. She registered 265 kills and 59 sets last season for the Eagles. She will be a solid addition to the Hornet roster.
