Unforgettable Performances from the JV Sizzle: AM Wave

With what I saw at the JV Sizzle, volleyball in Wisconsin has a very bright future. There is an incredible depth of talent with the classes coming through high school right now. I am so impressed with the discipline they showed on the court. Here are some of the unforgettable performances from the AM wave of the JV Sizzle.    Estelle was consistent and aggressive at the Sizzle. She was one of the leaders on her Luxemburg-Casco JV squad. Fundamentally, Estelle had a clean touch on the ball and great movement on the court. Her offense flowed well. When she went back to serve, she was aggressive and rarely missed.     Aaliyah made an impact on me because she was athletic and gritty. She fought for every point and was always ready for her next swing. She made aggressive choices and was fearless on offense, taking risks on swings with high payoffs. She was a fun athlete to watch dominate on the court and is a player with a massive amount of potential.     Ella was one of the most impactful pins and players at the JV Sizzle. She was a dominant force in multiple positions. I saw her playing at libero as well as on the pin at different points throughout the event. She had an aggressive mindset, great ball control, and a clear passion for the game. Ella was a leader and energizer for her team and a go-to player who got touches nearly every time the ball came over the net.     McKenna was a leader for her team at the Sizzle. She stood out not just because of her constant presence on the court as the libero, but because of her spark and effort. She is the type of player who leads by example and is constantly putting out full effort. Her Freedom team had a ton of talent, and Mckenna was helping facilitate it all from the backcourt with confidence.     Nora is another Freedom athlete who really impressed me. She is a high-flying pin with a very high ceiling. Her form was clean, and she had a consistent contact on the ball. Nora utilized numerous shots in order to earn points and had a lightning-fast arm swing to execute with power and precision. She is a player who has a lot of potential and is a player to watch in this class.     Lennyn was one of the top liberos at either of the JV Sizzle sessions. She is absolutely fearless on the court and has no hesitation running down shanked balls or flying across the court to make saves. What makes Lennyn stand out though, is that she is equally good on serve receive. She has great ball control and reacts quickly off the servers hand.     Lucia was very well-rounded at the JV Sizzle. She handled every aspect of being a pin very well and worked incredibly hard on every play. She received a lot of sets and was disciplined in transition. No matter the play, or whether she was passing or hitting, Lucia found ways to better the ball.     Ava was smart and savvy out of the middle for Kaukauna. She fought for every point and worked hard in transition to make herself available every time the ball came over the net. Ava also really impressed me from the service line, where she got numerous aces and stopped up some truly talented passers. When she played defense, Ava had a clean pass and picked up some great balls. Ava is a talented middle and all-around athlete who added value nearly every time she touched the ball.
