She is a versatile and dynamic player who is quickly making a name for herself, thanks to not only her impressive skills and unwavering determination but also her infectious positivity both on and off the court. During this showcase, she was limited in her participation due to injury, but she was everywhere shagging balls and cheering on her fellow participants. In a showcase environment, this can be a very daunting environment, but she embraced it and demonstrated what a positive vocal leader sounds like.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In 2025, Petersen showcased her abilities with [program_tooltip program_id='431951' first='Mizuno' last='Northern Lights'] 14-1. She was a formidable presence set up at the pins. Standing at 6'0", her reach and powerful swing allow her to make impact plays, whether she's terminating an attack or setting a big block. Petersen has a natural competitive spirit and the ability to elevate the energy of those around her. Her "superpower," as she puts it, is her bold and fun personality, which is invaluable in this momentum-driven game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Petersen's journey hasn't been without its challenges, but her resilience shines through. After initially making the high school 9B team in 7th grade, she channeled her frustration into motivation, seeing it as an opportunity for growth both as a player and as a person. This mindset is not only incredibly mature, but it has propelled her forward as she continues to set ambitious goals. With her combination of talent, dedication, and an inspiring positive attitude, Peterson is undoubtedly a player to watch.
