The class of 2029 is coming in hot, ready or not here they come.

For the third year in a row, Michigan has played host to some of the best incoming freshmen the classes have had to offer. Ranging from the Metro Detroit area to the West Side and Northern Michigan. This past weekend, we got to really get a great taste of what the 2029 class has cooking up for their debut seasons.

Kicking it off strong, let's take a look at some of the best libero prospects at the Freshman Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='757121' first='Stella' last='Smith'] - Clarkston/Legacy

This player is coming into her high school career with already so much momentum. A national champion as recent as this last club season, [player_tooltip player_id='757121' first='Stella' last='Smith'] operates the court with a stoic but strong presence. She's able to put herself in the best of positions to defend with her read of the court. Smith will be entering her freshman season alongside her sister [player_tooltip player_id='442995' first='Marlie' last='Smith'] (UNC) looking to propel the Wolves back to the Final Four.

[player_tooltip player_id='775516' first='Elizabeth' last='Burke'] - St. Catherine/Michigan Elite

[player_tooltip player_id='775516' first='Elizabeth' last='Burke'] makes her presence known in so many ways on the court. Whether she is making a big defensive play or calling the shots on the court, Burke is going to be one of those liberos we talk about for quite some time. She covers a lot of ground and opens up so many opportunities for her teammates. Burke, while only a rookie, showcases some serious signs to be seasoned leader early on in her career.

[player_tooltip player_id='778631' first='Breanna' last='McMahon'] - South Lyon East/L2

While listed as a DS/L, I could very much see this player making an impact in so many other positions on the court. She holds it down defensively and in reception, but she can also dual as a very nice attacker. Her range is reminiscent to that of someone who excels on the beach, a side of the game [player_tooltip player_id='778631' first='Breanna' last='McMahon'] could very well thrive in as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='725986' first='Skyla' last='Chinoy'] - Walled Lake Western/Team Detroit

She may have been one of the smallest in the pool of liberos, but [player_tooltip player_id='725986' first='Skyla' last='Chinoy']'s play is quite mighty. Chinoy walks onto the court and delivers energy like no other. She's quick on her feet and moves well around the court. Her infectious personality offers quick chemistry on the court when it comes to other passer and defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='848776' first='Amanda' last='Stotenbur'] - Forest Hills Northern/MVA

One of the many prospects out of the west side, [player_tooltip player_id='848776' first='Amanda' last='Stotenbur'] is the younger sister of one of the top setters in the senior class, [player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'] (Mercer). Amanda plays the game very similar to her big sis, very stoic with a lot of poise. She has a huge upside, with a little more aggression in her play, Stotenbur can be another top defensive prospect out of the Grand Rapids Metro.

[player_tooltip player_id='782164' first='Isabelle' last='Brown'] - Cadillac/FaR Out

[player_tooltip player_id='782164' first='Isabelle' last='Brown'] is coming off of a huge 14s club season with FaR Out. As one of the top defensive players in the 14 Open at AAU Nationals, Brown continues to live up to her elite level play. She reads the game at such a high level and can move so well around the court, her play is very reminiscent to that of [player_tooltip player_id='454351' first='Mallory' last='Johnson']'s (Nebraska).

[player_tooltip player_id='788886' first='Bristol' last='Davenport'] - Southgate Anderson/Legacy

Maybe one of the lengthiest DS's in the field, [player_tooltip player_id='788886' first='Bristol' last='Davenport'] really knows how to use her size to her advantage in the back court. Davenport is a strong back court player, but she also has an impressive all-around game to her. Her out of system sets were absolute butter and she can also become a strong attacker on the pin when needed. While a DS/L in the club circuit, I could very well see Davenport killing it as a six rotation pin in high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='850640' first='Mia' last='Russo'] - Notre Dame Prep/Monsters

Another exciting prospect at the freshman showcase, [player_tooltip player_id='850640' first='Mia' last='Russo'] plays the game with a lot of energy and is very vocal! With these intangibles, Russo looks to be the ideal talent to be entering a renowned program such as Notre Dame Prep. The Irish are known for producing nationally respected talent at the libero position, and that could be Russo by time her career ends.

Ella Brannen - Harper Creek/Midwest Select

Harper Creek will look to continue being a power out of the Southwest corner of Michigan, especially with a player like Ella Brannen coming in. At such a young age, Brannen has a very controlled touch on the ball. She puts herself in great positions to continue rallies and to better her side's ability to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='850228' first='Isabella' last='Adamski'] - Cabrini/Michigan Elite

This is another player, much like McMahon and Davenport, that has a really long list of skills up her sleeve. [player_tooltip player_id='850228' first='Isabella' last='Adamski'] is a strong back court player, but she can also play just as big as the toughest attackers. Seeing her step into the front court in a pinch to receive and take out the garbage, Adamski was one of those undersized, frustrating scorers.
