The fall season is right upon us and what better way to kick it all off than with the Prep Dig Stock Up!

For the third year in a row, Prep Dig has offered one of the top prospective showcases in the country for athletes entering their sophomore year and older. For the Michigan crew, this has been a baseboard for many of the state's top talent to display their growth. Like the saying goes, things get better with time. That is exactly the way to sum up these athletes and this year's edition of the Stock Up.

Looking to the next position, let's take a look at some of the best libero prospects at the Michigan Stock Up Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='553151' first='Ashlyn' last='Pelon'] - Marian

[player_tooltip player_id='553151' first='Ashlyn' last='Pelon'] is coming off of a HUGE freshman campaign. One of the top freshmen in the state as a libero with Marian, Pelon was unstoppable in the club season as well. The Stock Up Showcase proved to be no different. She is just THAT good. Not only was she one of the best passers and defenders on the day, but she was getting into every position. Swinging, setting, digging, Pelon can do it all. And do it all at a VERY high level. Pelon was one of two returning sophomores to have been named to the All-State list last season, I cannot wait to see what her fall entails!

[player_tooltip player_id='523844' first='Irelynn' last='Sedore'] - Pennfield

If there is anything that is for certain, it is that FaR Out can churn out some standout liberos. And we had a slew of them on tap at the Stock Up. First up, [player_tooltip player_id='523844' first='Irelynn' last='Sedore']. Sedore was very impressive throughout the Showcase. She has a strong sense of the court and reads the game very well. She is coming off of a strong club season and entering a big fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='502408' first='Kayleigh' last='Miersen'] - Caledonia

Next up on the list of those FaR Out kids, [player_tooltip player_id='502408' first='Kayleigh' last='Miersen'] is another big time defender. Strong and determined, Miersen takes control of the back line when she steps on to the court. She sees the opposing offense extremely well, putting herself into great position time and time again. Even with the strongest of arms, Miersen can absorb the ball to better control the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='761443' first='Meg' last='Schreur'] - South Christian

Last but not least of the FaR Out littles, [player_tooltip player_id='761443' first='Meg' last='Schreur'] was showing off a lot of scrappy play. Unsurprisingly, that is the name of the game from this west side club. Schreur is very quick off of the ground and can track down the ball with ease. As one of the younger defenders on tap, her game shows a lot of promise. With her high level hustle, her control will come. She'll look to have big opportunities to grow this fall at South Christian, one of the top Division 2 programs coming into the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='769601' first='Mara' last='Williams'] - Roscommon

We got to get a real great preview of what is to come from Roscommon at the Stock Up. [player_tooltip player_id='769601' first='Mara' last='Williams'] looks to be the veteran leader of the squad. With Roscommon, she is the six rotation outside attacker with all of the ball control. Here, she had that on full display. Williams is a tough nut to crack on defense while having tons of composure when she is in the reception line. Look to Williams to keep her crew in system this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'] - Orchard Lake St. Mary

When you look at [player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'], it is quite surprising to find out that she is a libero. At her size, you immediate assume she is an attacker of some sort. With her size though, she uses it as a secret weapon in the back row. Kapeller is able to cover such a vast amount of court just with her sheer length alone. Add in her mobility, and she can take control of large chunks of the court with ease.

[player_tooltip player_id='586766' first='Catie' last='Kuchta'] - Mercy

This could very much be the year of [player_tooltip player_id='586766' first='Catie' last='Kuchta']. She is coming off of an exciting club season and entering a more than promising fall. Kuchta is a steady presence in the ball control department. You can tell she sees the game at a high level and translates that into being a step ahead of the play more times than not. Kuchta enters a fall where one of the biggest question marks for Mercy is "Who will man the defense?". As the Marlins graduate a slew of DSs and Kuchta's game seeing a surge, I'd be looking to her to hold down the fort.

Anna Goustra - Grosse Pointe South

I got to see quite a bit of Anna Goustra throughout the club season and a bit in her rookie season last fall. This is a kind of player that could really formulate into something strong. Goustra is so explosive, she can make such quick moves in the back court. There were times she was almost too explosive, but she's come a long way, and she's still developing so nicely. Nonetheless, Goustra is a LOT of fun to watch with her personality on the court. I am really excited to see this player in action throughout the fall at Grosse Pointe South.

[player_tooltip player_id='579164' first='Ava' last='Rewalt'] - Richmond

I have been a fan of this libero for quite sometime. She stills continues to impress. As [player_tooltip player_id='579164' first='Ava' last='Rewalt'] continues to settle into the role of a DS/libero, the stronger she gets. Already, such a strong player, you can see that Rewalt is seeing the game at a much higher level than before. Her IQ is vastly improved and she's able to make big plays with little effort. I'll be curious to see what kind of role she plays for Richmond this fall in the absence of [player_tooltip player_id='454366' first='Jordyn' last='Jones'].

[player_tooltip player_id='795567' first='Kendall' last='Sierzputowski'] - Traverse City West

Last year, we saw [player_tooltip player_id='795567' first='Kendall' last='Sierzputowski'] in a setter role. A role that i thought she thrived in. However, one thing that is obvious upon first look, Sierzputowski is quite small for that particular position. However, this year she showed off her chops as a back court player and I was very pleased. Nobody makes a better libero than a setter that's switched positions. Just ask Elena Scott from Louisville. This is a move that will pay off huge for Sierzputowski for years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='726340' first='Stephanie' last='Lulaj'] - Notre Dame Prep

If there is any thing that is for sure in this world, it is that Notre Dame Prep always has a slew of strong DSs to their disposal. [player_tooltip player_id='726340' first='Stephanie' last='Lulaj'] looks to be another one of those players. Lulaj is another lengthier player in the back court that really relies upon her length to separate her from the rest. I haven't been able to see her in action in quite sometime, so the growth that was evident at the showcase was quite the treat! I can't wait to see her continue her ascent with NDP.
