The Class of 2028 showed up for the Michigan Stock Up Showcase this past weekend.

The incoming sophomores were the most represented of any class, and it featured a lot of impressive talent.

Here's our first part of player evaluations from this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='745472' first='Cecelia' last='Patierno'], DS/L Dexter/Legacy

Patierno showed great drive throughout the Showcase. She was putting her all into each rep and point, trying to get to every ball she could. She was willing to take the bumps and bruises needed to make a tough play. As she continues to sharpen her technique, her work ethic will take her far.

[player_tooltip player_id='474426' first='Aamia' last='Moore'], MB Shaker Heights/Ignite

This Ohio prospect is listed at 5'8”, but she can really get off the floor, allowing her to play much bigger at the net. Moore consistently showed that she can climb the ladder to play above the net and deliver a powerful shot. The same goes for her blocking, where she was disruptive to a lot of opposing hitters.

[player_tooltip player_id='720520' first='Alexis' last='Donovan'], OH OL St. Mary's/Michigan Elite

Donovan was a picture of consistency with her attacks throughout the Showcase. If a ball was out-of-system, she put a good pop on the ball. When she was in the back row, she put a good pop on the ball. When she got a clean look, she did a little more then just put a good pop on it. Donovan can challenge defenders from anywhere on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='728850' first='Emme' last='Dorchy'], MH Royal Oak/Unified

The nearly 6-foot middle had some spotlight moments, as she did a nice job of establishing chemistry with her setters for some quick connections at the net. Dorchy has big power in her swing, and the agility to deliver it from a variety of locations. Dorchy also had an impressive serve when she got the opportunity.

[player_tooltip player_id='709804' first='McKenzie' last='Reid'], DS/L Lake Orion/High Performance

Reid was a good energy player, she brought a lot of hustle to the court that her peers seemed to feed off of. While she was competitive, she still carried a positive attitude and encouraged everyone around her. Her energy level led to some impressive plays in the backcourt and will be a great foundation for her to continue to build her game on.

[player_tooltip player_id='724836' first='Addison' last='Weber'], OH Ubly/Mavericks

Weber did a good job of staying within herself and not trying to force something that wasn't there. She took the play as it was and made smart choices, but then was able to display a smooth swing when the opportunity arose. Her focus and court awareness looked to be at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='628137' first='Gianna' last='Vettraino'], OH Eisenhower/Legacy

Vettraino showed some good all-around skill during the Showcase. She was strong with her serve receive and defense, making some accurate feeds to the setter. On the attack, Vettraino timed out her jumps well to get the most out of her swings. She was able to place the ball in a lot of different locations.

[player_tooltip player_id='722932' first='Rebecca' last='Pavlik'], S Lutheran Northwest/Legacy

Pavlik was a setter that was a standout performer. She was consistently getting good swings out of her hitters, both on the outside and in the middle. Pavlik was able to get a feel for each hitter quickly and make adjustments to their style, while also communicating well with each one. She showed a lot of impressive leadership qualities.

[player_tooltip player_id='791651' first='Anna' last='Groustra'], DS/L GP South/Michigan Elite

Groustra had some of the quickest feet of any defender at Sunday's event. She was able to cover a lot of space and her first step was always aggressive and helped her get to the ball. She made digs that seemed like they would be out of reach for most. Groustra also showed a high level of focus, staying locked in during chaotic moments.

[player_tooltip player_id='743769' first='Joeleigh' last='White'], S/RS Gull Lake/USA

White was a prospect that you noticed during each drill. No matter what was being asked of her, she was able to find ways to make an impact. She had steady and accurate sets, athletic swings, agile digs and powerful serves. Her agility allowed her to switch into different modes on the fly and provide a boost to her teammates.
