Tournament of the Week: Week 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Each week we are going to take a look at a big time tournament with a ton of top tier players and programs. Let's take a look at week 2. Season is officially here and all games going forward begin to pave each team's destiny. Lots of teams have already played in a tournament and some are playing back to back weekends to help thier case just in time for the first official rankings. Those will open this Friday evening and be posted on Monday afternoon. We will definetly be keeping an eye out for those!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Carl Albert Invitational:</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pool A: Norman, Lawton Mac, Crossings Christian, and OCS</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pool B: Christian Heritage, Cascia Hall, Carl Albert and Coweta</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This all tournament team roster will a loaded one! Lots of top players and great matchups to be played. Lets dive in to each pool.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Norman is likely to be a top 10 team with a chance at top 5, OCS almost asuedyl will be a top 1 or 2 team in class 5A, Lawton Mac and Crossings also likely to be top 10 in thier respective classes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cascia and CHA will likely be top 5 teams, Carl albert likely top 10 and Coweta will flirt with top 10 but inside top 16 out the gate. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Players:</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This whole thing is littered with top hitters. If you are local college and need to find a 2026/27 type hitter, get to Carl Albert this weekend. Players like Izabella Holsek, [player_tooltip player_id='809772' first='Madison' last='Cambell'], [player_tooltip player_id='752787' first='Aven' last='Payne'], [player_tooltip player_id='505685' first='Miley' last='Myers'], [player_tooltip player_id='737518' first='Brianni' last='Kimbro'], [player_tooltip player_id='752757' first='Tryina' last='Newsom'], [player_tooltip player_id='752758' first='Aryn' last='Gammill'], [player_tooltip player_id='752554' first='Abigail' last='Jeffries'], and [player_tooltip player_id='752767' first='Tessa' last='Bond']. The pure size and athleticism from players like Kimbro, Gammill, Holasek will catch your eye immediately. Wait till Payne, Myers or Campbell get a hold of a ball with a hole in the block. There will be nothing left but to flip the scoreboard another time. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>But wait there's more! Plenty of solid setters will be here as well. [player_tooltip player_id='297110' first='Zoe' last='Young'] and [player_tooltip player_id='511388' first='Georgia' last='Caddell'] are a part of that potent Tiger offense in Norman. [player_tooltip player_id='746616' first='Adele' last='Johnson'], [player_tooltip player_id='778122' first='Chandler' last='Cordray'], and [player_tooltip player_id='746899' first='Danika' last='Bridges'] all cover a ton of ground and have a large range. [player_tooltip player_id='739951' first='Kaylin' last='Cook'] and [player_tooltip player_id='739350' first='Lily' last='Wilcox'] are both solid defenders who also have a serve that sparks plenty of scoring runs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We can not forget the passers who are throwing their bodies around to rake in the digs and covering half the court in serve revive to make the offense hum. [player_tooltip player_id='301381' first='Rachel' last='Megna'] is one of the best in the game. She is a big reason OCS is in system more than just about any team out there. Kaylee King for Coweta has been a workhorse.
