Late last week, the 10 finalists for the 2025 Miss Volleyball award were announced.

This year's field is stacked with all-time greats in Michigan prep volleyball history.

It will be a really competitive battle for the award this year, but here are the 10 finalists in alphabetical order.

[player_tooltip player_id='226875' first='Ella' last='Andrews'], MH Farmington Hills Mercy

Andrews had to sit out the 2023 season while transferring to Mercy, but she was First Team All-State in 2024 while helping the Marlins be one of the top teams in the state. This year, the Stanford commit is hitting .437 with over 100 kills and nearly 30 blocks, proving to be one of the most impactful middles in the country. At 6'4”, opposing teams have to put a lot of focus on where she is on the floor, both offensively and defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='226882' first='Karis' last='Chatfield'], OH Jenison

A four-year player that has been dominant with her defensive play and her hitting, Jenison has put a lot on Chatfield's shoulders, but she has come through with flying colors. The East Tennessee State commit received All-State honors each year of her career, including First Team in 2024. She entered this fall with 1,296 career digs and 1,432 career kills. She's already up to 200 kills and 100 digs in 2025 as well. Chatfield could join an exclusive club this fall of reaching both 1,500 career kills and career digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='226888' first='Aubree' last='Deshetsky'], OH North Branch

An impact player since she was a freshman for North Branch, Deshetsky has an incredible resume for Miss Volleyball. She's a two-time state champion, as well as a three-time regional and league champion. She is quickly approaching 2,000 kills for her career following a 2024 season where she had 937 kills, which ranked sixth in MHSAA history for a single season. Deshetsky also has over 1,300 digs, 235 aces and 160 blocks in her time with the Broncos. The Indiana Wesleyan commit has been a two-time First Team All-State honoree.

[player_tooltip player_id='226886' first='Gabby' last='DiVita'], OH Grosse Pointe South

DiVita came into her high school career with a lot of buzz and she's definitely lived up to that for GP South. The Nebraska commit has been a machine, earning All-State honors each year of her prep career. Entering her senior season, DiVita had 1,553 kills while hitting an eye-popping .404. She also had 864 digs, 190 aces and 89 blocks. Opposing teams know the ball is heading her way more times than not, yet she has continued to find ways to put the ball away at an incredible rate.

[player_tooltip player_id='446702' first='Elise' last='Hiemstra'], OH Detroit Country Day

A four-year player that helped lead the Yellowjackets to their first state championship in program history last year, Hiemstra was First Team All-State in 2024. She's sitting at 750 kills in her prep career and also is over 550 digs and 130 aces. The Columbia commit really shined in a breakout role in 2024 where she hit over .300 with 375 kills for Country Day.

[player_tooltip player_id='226900' first='Liv' last='Hosford'], OH Rockford

Hosford made an impact for Rockford the minute she stepped into the school gymnasium. She has been All-State each of her three previous prep seasons, including First Team last fall. The Oakland University commit has been a stat leader in almost every category for the Rams the past three seasons. With her play thus far in 2025, Hosford sits at 1,566 career kills, 995 career digs, 279 blocks, and 118 aces. She led the Rams to a state final appearance last fall and has Rockford looking like a title contender in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='226904' first='Emma' last='Keeping'], S/RS Imlay City

A Wake Forest commit, Keeping had to miss her sophomore season due to a back injury, but she fought her way back to the court and was a new player in 2024 as a junior. She was First Team All-State last fall. Coming into her senior season, Keeping had an impressive balance of stats with 785 kills, 679 assists, 462 digs, 131 aces and 91 blocks. She's as much of a game changer as a hitter, as she is as a setter.

[player_tooltip player_id='226907' first='Eva' last='Long'], S Fenton

Long propelled Fenton to a semifinal appearance last year while earning First Team All-State honors. She's been an impact player for the Tigers since she was a freshman and came into the fall with 2,181 career assists, 742 digs, 708 kills, 243 aces and 136 blocks. The N.C. State commit has been a leader on and off the court and has been willing to take on any role to help Fenton succeed.

[player_tooltip player_id='226909' first='Kayla' last='Nwabueze'], MH/OH Bloomfield Hills

A Harvard commit, Nwabueze came into high school with a lot of hype and she's proven she can do it all through her time with the Black Hawks. She's been First Team All-State the last two years. Already with 200 kills this fall, Nwabueze is over 1,650 kills in her career. That is to go with over 870 digs, 360 blocks, and 140 aces. She's as powerful a hitter as you will find, but also has the defensive play to back up her explosive attack.

[player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'], S Forest Hills Northern

A leader on and off the court, Stotenbur has kept FH Northern as one of the top teams in the state year after year. She's helped the Huskies reach the state final in 2023 and the state semifinals in 2022. A two-time All-State honoree, Stotenbur enters the fall with 2,727 career assists, 689 digs, 184 kills, 107 blocks and 94 aces. She is committed to playing at Mercer University next fall.
