Current Stat Leaders in Colorado Girls' High School Volleyball

<p>Preseason is beginning to heat up, and several athletes are already making their mark on the stat sheet. Let's break down current leaders in three key categories: kills, assists, and digs.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">TOP 3 FOR KILLS</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Screaton has been nothing short of dominant, leading the state with 106 kills while averaging 4.1 per set. She is crafty with her shot selection and quick at the net- always ready for setter, <a href="https://prepdig.com/player/maddie-lynett/">[player_tooltip player_id='738625' first='Maddie' last='Lynett']</a> to find her. Screaton can attack from the pin, run inside routes, and back row. Her versatility and ability to score from anywhere on the court make her a weapon for Columbine.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Senior outside hitter, Dewicki, has tallied 85 kills so far, swinging at an impressive 4.7 per set. She brings a tall, athletic presence that keeps defenses on edge. When the set is in the right spot, she can put it straight to the floor, but she also shows a great range with tips, pushes, and sharp angles. Dewicki is a go to option when the Eagles are in serve receive rotation one, where she can run a slide like attack on the right-side which proved to be extremely effective.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Clark has recorded 70 kills with a 4.1 per set average, making her one of the most dynamic attackers in the state so far. She has a heavy arm and keeps defenses guessing with a smart shot selection. In system or out of system, she can turn the ball down the line, or go for the sharp cross. Clark's ability to score in tough situations makes her a reliable threat for Rock Canyon. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">TOP 3 FOR ASSISTS</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Lynett keeps Columbine's offense flowing with a balanced distribution and connects especially well with her go to outside, Screaton (mentioned above). Currently Lynett has 219 assists with 26 sets played. That is 8.4 assists per set, showing that she is a high IQ setter who puts her hitters into spots where they can score. </p>     <p>Gilbert, a Colorado School of Mines commit, runs a fast paced offense with precision. She currently has 163 assists total with an average of 7.8 assists per set. She does this with her ability to set her middles even when out of system, delivering balls that are hittable in tough situations. Gilbert's speed and sharp court awareness allows her to read defenses and consistently choose the right attacker in the right moment.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Krause has been highly efficient running her offense, averaging 8.3 assists per set and a total of 157 assists. She keeps her hitters in rhythm with a clean, well placed ball and shows strong decision making under pressure. Krause's consistency and tempo control will make her a steady presence at the net for Cherokee Trail.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">TOP 3 FOR DIGS</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Goodall anchors the back row with 119 digs and a 4.8 digs per set average, keeping her team steady and organized. She's quick to read hitters and always ready to cover the floor making sure "donut shots" rarely find the court. Her voice and presence gives Ralston Valley confidence in chaos.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Buckley has been a model of consistency, recording 101 digs total so far, and 3.7 per set. She's steady in serve receive, which carries over into her defensive game. Buckley is sharp, always backing up her hitters. She is very disciplined in the back row, only letting the ball drop if it is out.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Blake has tallied 92 digs while averaging 4.4 per set, showing her impressive skill of reading hitters and putting herself in the right position to make plays. She can dig balls from any angle and absorbs even the heaviest swings, keeping the play alive for her team. Her ability to control powerful attacks makes her a defensive backbone for Cherry Creek. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Just the Beginning</h2>   <p>The stat sheets are already filling fast, but it is only the beginning.
