Firepower from the Outside: OHs to Watch Pt. 1

The Varsity division at Rally Cup was stacked with offensive threats, but the six outside hitters below carved out standout performances with athleticism, timing, and the ability to deliver under pressure. Whether hitting out of serve receive or closing a long rally, these OHs showed up ready to lead.    Fritts is a powerhouse anywhere on the net but she stood tall and confident on the left side, using her length and control to terminate from left to right. She brought consistent heat on high balls and showed the versatility to swing effectively on out-of-system sets. She also played smart in transition and brought key blocks in tight sets. Vocal, Smart and cunning on the court! You want to keep an eye out for her. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     A powerful swing and fearless mindset define Sheer's play. She attacks aggressively and doesn't hesitate to go line or cut sharp angles. Still just a sophomore, her poise and power helped lift Columbus through some of the most competitive moments of pool play. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Katina brought excellent ball control and intensity from the outside, proving to be a two-way player that could handle first contact and finish the point. She played confidently and was especially reliable in transition and broken plays. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Carpenter brought relentless energy and confidence to the court. She was one of Ringgold's most consistent scoring options, swinging with purpose and hustle. Her ability to stay in the play defensively made her a full-rotation threat and a tone-setter for her team. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Anne Gregory is a physical, composed attacker who plays well beyond her years. She was a constant go-to on the outside, especially in pressure situations.
