GHSA 4A State Tournament Predictions: New Faces Ready to Shine

The 4A field is crowded with teams capable of winning big matches, and much of that potential comes from the growth of their younger athletes. Programs like Midtown, Central-Carroll, East Forsyth, Dalton, and Pace Academy may not have the same spotlight as perennial champions, but they are developing underclassmen who can swing matches in their favor.   Here are six players to keep an eye on:    Johnson gives Midtown length and versatility in the front row. She can close blocks quickly, challenge opposing pins, and swing effectively in transition. Her combination of size and athletic upside makes her one of the Knights' most intriguing young players. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Estelle brings energy and balance to Midtown's pin attack. She can step into either right or left side roles, making her valuable in a variety of rotations. Her willingness to take smart swings against blocks shows maturity beyond her years. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Macey is a steady offensive presence with good size at 5'10”. She swings with confidence from the outside and is learning to vary her shots to stay effective against strong defenses. Central-Carroll has relied on her emerging consistency to add another layer to their offense. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Charleigh brings grit to the front row. While still developing, she shows flashes of dominance when she times her blocks well and isn't afraid to swing aggressively. Her growth has given Central-Carroll more balance in the middle. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Abby provides stability and court vision in East Forsyth's offense. She has a knack for spreading the ball around and creating one-on-one matchups for her hitters. Her leadership has been a major factor in East Forsyth's steady climb this season. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Garcia has stepped into a larger role this year and shown her ability to compete against top-level opponents. She brings toughness to Dalton's rotation, scoring on well-placed swings while also helping defensively. Her two-way value gives Dalton flexibility in tight matches. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast    Programs like Midtown and Central-Carroll are growing stronger thanks to versatile underclassmen like Johnson, Leege, Mount, and Bell, while East Forsyth and Dalton are anchored by steady contributors in Larson and Garcia. These athletes represent the next wave of talent in 4A — players who may not only decide key playoff matches this fall but also shape the class for years to come.
