In a sport where momentum can change in seconds, there's no substitute for a dominant front row. At the 2025 Bishop Kenny JV Dig Pink Volleyball Tournament, the middle blockers and right side hitters set the tone early and often with power, precision, and presence. From fast footwork along the net to devastating blocks and quick-transition attacks, these players took over matches—and left opposing offenses scrambling. The key to Chiles JV's championship success? Their net-front enforcers who controlled tempo, closed blocks, and powered through defenses. Across the tournament, the net was no safe space.

Chloe French (#13, Chiles High School – Middle Hitter)

Chloe was a total problem for opposing offenses. As a freshman, she brought the kind of high-level athleticism and quickness that coaches dream of. Her fast approach allowed her to get on top of the ball and drive attacks straight down. But she wasn't just an attacker—her ability to move laterally across the net helped Chiles consistently close blocks, forcing opponents into tough shots. She was the wall and the hammer.

[player_tooltip player_id='789297' first='Gabrielle' last='Mais'] (#18, Bishop Kenny – Middle Hitter)

This attacker was as smart as she was aggressive. With a slow-to-fast tempo that created perfect timing windows, she constantly manipulated blockers and turned her shots with surgical precision. Her ability to move quickly along the net and stay in rhythm with the setter made her a central figure in BK's offense. A clinic in control and creativity.

Khloe Small (#12, Bishop Kenny – Middle Hitter)

Raw. Athletic. Electric. This freshman's agility and timing made her a fan favorite over the weekend. She moved so well laterally that she was constantly closing blocks, and her vertical reach allowed her to get on top of the ball and shut down attacks. Her ceiling is sky-high—literally and figuratively.

[player_tooltip player_id='877266' first='Ariella' last='Bostic'] (#16, Beachside – Middle Hitter)

Ariella played with spacing awareness that many varsity players would envy. She kept her eyes on the ball, tracked the setter, and transitioned into fast, aggressive approaches. Her ability to quickly load and explode on the ball gave Beachside a consistent scoring option and a major blocking presence.

Katelyn Laezza (#14, Middleburg – Rightside/Setter)

Katelyn brought versatility and length to the court. Transitioning smoothly into attack, she made herself a hard-to-read right side option. Her fast approach and full-body wind-up allowed her to blast powerful cross-court shots and mix in off-speed when needed. A matchup nightmare, especially in tight sets.

When it comes to winning championships, controlling the net isn't optional—it's essential. Chiles JV's front-row presence, especially from Chloe French, gave them the defensive stops and offensive firepower that carried them to the top of the podium. But they weren't alone—every team in the Dig Pink Tournament featured middle and right side hitters who raised the bar. From high-flying freshmen to dominant veterans, these athletes combined IQ, athleticism, and timing to steal the spotlight. If defense wins games and offense wins fans, the middles and right sides this weekend did both.
