The 2025 prep season has given us enough time to see which players are going to be leaders in their respective categories.

When it comes to the new crop of talent, the freshmen (Class of 2029), here's a look at players that are among the blocker leaders (stats through MaxPreps).

[player_tooltip player_id='787391' first='Karsyn' last='Ignash'], Cass City

Another in the line of talented Ignash players at Cass City, Karsyn is showing a lot of potential this fall. As a middle, the 6'1” Ignash has tallied 66 blocks this fall, nearly one per set. Her season was highlighted by a 9-block performance against Laker in September.

Evah Foster, Lansing Christian

The Pilgrims have a strong and athletic young prospect in Foster, who has been a real force at the net. She sits at 65 blocks through only 48 sets of play, averaging over four per match this year. That included an eye-popping 10-block performance against Dansville last month.

[player_tooltip player_id='768151' first='Emily' last='Nwabueze'], Bloomfield Hills

Bloomfield Hills has another Nwabueze that brings tons of explosiveness to the net. She's been particularly strong with her blocking, with 54 blocks this fall. Her top performances were 5-block efforts against talented teams in North Branch and Stoney Creek.

[player_tooltip player_id='888953' first='Kennedy' last='Thomas'], East Lansing

Thomas is another talented freshman from the Lansing area. She has compiled 50 blocks this season. Most recently, she set a season-high with six blocks in a four-set win over DeWitt, one of the top wins on the season for East Lansing.

Audrey Miller, Corunna

The Cavaliers have a consistent presence in the middle with Miller. The near 6-footer has 46 blocks this fall, just consistently tallying blocks each match. Her top showing was a 4-blocker effort against Laker in late September.

Mikki Sims, Novi

The Wildcats have someone they can develop into an unstoppable force in Sims, who is just scratching the surface with her talents. Sims has 42 blocks this fall, but she's getting stronger as the season moves on. She's had 11 blocks in her last three matches.

Lilli St. Louis, Fellowship Baptist

In the small-school department, St. Louis has been a big factor with her blocking reach. She has 42 blocks, averaging over more than two per match this season. That was highlighted by a 9-block performance in September.

[player_tooltip player_id='885468' first='Saniyah' last='Tucker'], Mercy

The Marlins have a great crop of middles, but Tucker has done her part to earn playing time alongside some veteran players. The freshman has 40 blocks this fall and looks like one of the next great talents for the Marlins. She's on a 10-match streak with at least one block.

[player_tooltip player_id='888958' first='Ellery' last='Bieneman'], Lowell

Lowell is no stranger to young talent stepping up. Bieneman is a promising freshman that finishes well with her attacks and is a strong blocker. She has 39 blocks this season, including four in a key early season win over Coopersville.

[player_tooltip player_id='774460' first='Harper' last='Dallaire'], Grosse Pointe North

GP North has a young middle making an impact in Dallaire, who has 33 blocks to go with some strong finishes at the net. The 6'1” freshman had five blocks in a sweep of Utica Ford earlier this month.
