Meet the Nominees
Annabel, now in her second year as the varsity setter, continues to shine as a leader and playmaker on the court. This week, she surpassed a major milestone - 1,500 career assists - with over 500 already racked up this season alone. Her serving game has been nearly flawless, making all but four serves and boasting an impressive 98% serve percentage, along with 20+ aces. At the competitive Laker Invite, Annabel and her squad held their own, taking sets from powerhouse programs and proving they can battle with the best.

Over just two matches on October 2nd and 4th, Caroline racked up an incredible 50 kills, including a dominant 31-kill performance in a 3-1 win on the 4th. She was nearly unstoppable at the net, hitting .485 and .403 with kill rates of 57% and 50% - averaging a staggering 7.1 kills per set across the two victories. Her all-around impact didn't stop there; she also added 22 digs to round out a pair of standout performances. Already committed to play at Robert Morris, she's proving why she's one of the top offensive threats in the region.

Holy Cross junior Delaney Stoff (Class of 2027) delivered a standout week at middle hitter, establishing herself as a dominant presence at the net. In two intense matches—including a hard-fought five-set thriller against state powerhouse Mercy Academy—Stoff tallied 25 kills and a remarkable 16 blocks. Her two-way impact was undeniable, consistently swinging momentum with powerful finishes and clutch defensive stops.

Taylor wrapped up a huge week, starting with the competitive Enid Tournament and continuing through two regular season matchups. She was a defensive anchor, racking up 102 digs and showing impressive consistency in serve receive, earning a 2.11 rating on 94 attempts. She also made her presence felt at the service line, delivering 8 aces. Her steady back-row play and all-around hustle were key to her team's success throughout the week.
Highlights
Sloane put together a stellar week, showcasing her all-around game in both regular season action and tournament play. In two regular season matches, she recorded 37 kills and 33 digs while hitting an efficient .340 and earning a 2.05 in serve receive. She carried that momentum into the Enid Tournament, where she was named Tournament MVP after racking up 43 kills and 35 digs. Her ability to dominate at the net and stay locked in defensively made her a game-changer all week long.

Payton had a dominant week at the net, helping lead her St. Cecilia squad to a perfect 5-0 record and a championship title at their home invitational tournament. The 6'1” senior middle hitter and Wayne State College commit was nearly unstoppable, hitting at a blistering .646 efficiency while averaging 4.5 kills per set. On the season, she's hitting .454—currently second in Nebraska across all classes in hitting efficiency, with a real shot at claiming the top spot when official stats update. She's also just nine kills away from reaching 1,000 career kills, a milestone she's expected to hit incredibly soon. Already a GJNC All-Tournament honoree, a Class C All-State selection, and named to the AVCA All-American Watch List, Payton continues to prove she's among Nebraska's elite.

Sophie Orlando, an impactful player from Brownsburg High School in Indiana, continues to showcase her strength on the court. In a tight 3-2 win over Zionsville on October 2, she delivered an impressive performance with 17 kills over 5 sets, averaging 3.4 kills per set and hitting at a strong .319 efficiency with only 2 errors on 47 attacks. Just days earlier, on September 30, she played a key role in Brownsburg's 3-1 victory over TWHHS, contributing 13 kills in 4 sets (3.3 K/S) and maintaining a kill percentage of 41.9% on 31 total attacks. Her consistent offensive production and ability to convert opportunities have been a major factor in her team's recent success.
