<p><strong>CORALVILLE -</strong> As victory neared during Wednesday's Class 4A state semifinal match, Sioux Center's student section began chanting, "Why not us? Why not us?" It's the motto that Warrior coach Julie Oldenkamp coined following an early-season loss, one that's caught on in the community.</p>

<p>"She knew we had to turn it around right there. That became our motto," junior [player_tooltip player_id='841522' first='Adison' last='Brantsen'] said. "We've been saying it all season. It's really helped us in digging in and just playing for each other." </p>

<p>Sioux Center looked like every bit of that in dispatching of a talented Pella team, 3-0, in the semis. The Warriors attacked and didn't let up. </p>

<p>"It feels like no one can stop us," senior [player_tooltip player_id='575152' first='Courteney' last='Schmidt'] said about her team playing connected. "It feels like we're just a force. We have all the momentum, and we're just going to crush other teams." </p>

<p>Next up for the Warriors will be North Scott in Thursday's 4A title match. The [program_tooltip program_id='431978' first='Lancers' last=''] knocked off top-seeded Clear Creek Amana in Wednesday's semifinals. </p>

<p>The Warriors are competing for their first-ever state championship against a school that won it two years ago. </p>

<p>"We just need to take this opportunity and embrace it," Schmidt said. "We just need to go our and have fun and not worry about the pressure of being perfect." </p>
