Right Sides and Hybrid Attackers: The Matchup Makers

Right-side attackers and hybrids are the problem-solvers of high-level volleyball. They close the block, handle tough ball control assignments, and take the pressure swings from out-of-system. These athletes bring versatility, presence, and the ability to change matchups instantly.    Aubrie plays with sharp instincts and strong two-way value. She reads hitters well on the block and takes away cross early, forcing attackers into tough angles. Offensively, her left-handed swing gives her natural deception and pace, allowing her to score in tight spaces. Competitive, aware, and always in the play. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Emery brings toughness at the net. Her block discipline stands out — shoulders squared, hands pressed, eyes locked on the attacker. She swings with purpose rather than panic, using her length and timing to generate clean, efficient contact. She understands when to hit hard and when to shape shots, using court vision to pick apart the defense. Her transition movement is smooth, and she stays available early, giving setters clear scoring windows. She thrives in long rallies and doesn't shy away from hitting against formed blocks. Her ability to stay balanced through the approach gives her reliability in both tempo and chaos. She sees the block well and uses depth and width to create opportunities instead of forcing power.
