This court demanded effort in long rallies, aggression at the net, and players who could absorb feedback and immediately apply it under pressure.   Washington commit [player_tooltip player_id='502333' first='Hayden' last='Conner'] evaluated her group and selected one MVP and three Top Performers who made consistent, winning impacts throughout the session and elevated the competitive standard on the court. Laela was a complete, all around presence who brought effort and intensity to every touch. She communicated clearly with her setter, stayed aggressive both at the net and in serve receive, and played with confidence that never wavered. What stood out most was her coachability. When feedback was given, Laela applied it immediately in game situations, showing maturity beyond her age.   Laela shared that her strongest skill is her effort, especially late in matches when others begin to fade. She is focused on developing a more powerful, terminal swing and continues to push herself through workouts, repetition, and active feedback.
