Forecast of Events for Wisconsin Clubs January 2026
We're here! Happy 2026, the club volleyball season is set to kick off the weekend of January 3-4 with teams taking the court for the first time in the new year. What needs to be on the forecast in January for club events in the Badger Region and where will teams in Wisconsin be heading off to?
Prep Dig Resolution
Appleton - January 3-4 (12s-14s), January 10-11 (15s-18s)
Prep Dig will once again be starting the season with the Prep Dig Resolution where the 15-18s will feature an expanded field with two facilities going at the Community First Champion Center and “The Barn” which is home to FC Elite . 23 clubs from around the state will be coming to Resolution 2 that will include the likes of FC Elite , Wisconsin Juniors , Spiketown, Wisconsin Blaze , and Hometown Heat just to name a few. Many of these teams will be gearing up for the Windy City 18s Qualifier that will be occurring in Schaumburg, Illinois January 17-19.
Badger Region Power League
Starts January 10-11 at Multiple Locations
The Badger Region Power League is back and will kick off January 10-11 at multiple locations. I AM Volleyball will be the host of the 18 Elite Division while Center Court will host the 16 Elite Division. I AM Volleyball had a huge year in 2025 with multiple teams placing high in the Badger Region Power League and will return plenty of athletes from those squads.
Windy City Qualifier
Schaumburg, Illinois - January 17-19
This will be the first chance for teams to punch their ticket to USAV 18 Nationals which will be held in Reno, Nevada come April. Plenty of Wisconsin teams will be making the trip South to Schaumburg where this is highly attended by teams across the country.
Winter Classic hosted by JVC
Milwaukee - January 17-18
This will be one of the first big tournaments of the season hosted by Wisconsin Juniors where nearly 500 teams will head to the Baird Center downtown Milwaukee. The 16 Open division will bring in the likes of I AM VBC, Milwaukee Sting , and Wisconsin Elite while also seeing the likes of 1st Alliance, MOD, and VC United from Illinois along with Kokoro from St. Paul, Minnesota. Many of these teams will be seeing each other throughout the season where this is a tournament where teams can start to gain traction to earn high seeds in future events.
Other Events To Have On The Radar
Big City Luau - Twin Cities - January 24-25 - Plenty of Wisconsin teams will be heading to Minneapolis/St. Paul area at the end of January to face teams from Iowa, Minnesota, and the Dakotas at facilities held all across the Twin Cities. Hope the weather is similar to a luau.
Central Zone - Indianapolis - January 24-25 - One of the largest events you will find over two days will be the Central Zone Invite held at the convention center downtown Indianapolis with teams ranging from Iowa down into the Carolinas. Large event meaning there are eight divisions of 16s and over 1,000 teams overall. FC Elite and Milwaukee Sting will be two Wisconsin teams competing in the open level divisions.
Northern Lights Qualifier - Minneapolis - January 30-February 1 - Now its the 17s first chance to punch a bid to Indy where the 14s-17s Nationals will be held summer of 2026. The Minneapolis Convention Center will host the 17s and 18s where teams from across the country will look to qualify for nationals. Last year FC Elite and Milwaukee Sting both saw major success with the FC Elite 18 Elite team winning the 18 Open Division and MKE Sting 17 Gold grabbed their open bid.
