This week will see Prep Dig host its next showcase event in Pontiac with the PrepDig Exposure Tour stop in Michigan happening on Sunday, Dec. 21.

These winter stops have been very beneficial for a number of prospects in recent years. In previous years, these events were called the Michigan Top 250 Expo, but regardless of the name change, they have been a great opportunity to help prospects reach the next level in their development. For defenders, it's a chance to be really tested to the limits of what you're capable of. You'll face outstanding hitters and get to go through tough drills that test you in all areas of your game.

Here's a look at some of the liberos/defensive specialists that have attended in previous years and how they have raised their game since.

[player_tooltip player_id='800645' first='Olivia' last='Beaudrie'], SMCC (2026)

Beaudrie was a standout do-everything player for SMCC, but her defensive skills are where she really seems to shine. She's relentless in her effort in the back row and makes a lot of plays on instinct without having to overthink. She's been a top competitor in any Showcase she's appeared in. She was First Team All-State in D3 and an All-Prep Dig Selection in D3 this year as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='240701' first='Giselle' last='Burlingame'], Northville (2026)

A tenacious defender, Burlingame does the Northville name proud, as that program has produced a lot of great defensive talent. Burlingame showed her elite-level effort and composure at our previous events and has built that into a spot with Wayne State at the college level next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='226897' first='Charlotte' last='Gramzow'], Lutheran Northwest (2026)

Gramzow is a top-talent defender, but also showed she can be a six-rotation player during her high school career with Lutheran Northwest. Gramzow did everything right at previous showcases, showing precise hitting and defending. This fall, she led Lutheran Northwest to a D3 quarterfinal spot. Gramzow was named to the All-State Team in D3 in 2025. She will continue her career at Northern Illinois.

[player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'], OLSM (2027)

A near 6-footer that is a standout defender, Kapeller can bring a unique skillset and intangibles to the position. She's been a prospect that has been easy to notice at past Showcases because of her ability to cover a lot of space. She showed a lot of improvement in 2025 while facing the best of the best hitters. Kapeller should have a lot of college eyes on her over the next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='587009' first='Kaitlyn' last='Koceski'], Novi (2028)

Novi has also been known for having standout defenders and Koceski looked really polished at our Winter Showcase last year. She played with a lot of maturity and did a good job of challenging herself against her older peers. She turned that into a solid 2025 prep season where she made some good strides in her anticipation and her consistency.

[player_tooltip player_id='454374' first='Addison' last='Nostrandt'], Birch Run (2028)

Another talented 2028 prospect, Nostrandt stood out in our Winter Showcase last year, putting on a performance that was too good to ignore. She had great energy that her peers were able to feed off of, but she also had highly consistent play. She was named Second Team All-State in D2 as a sophomore, as well as part of the All-Prep Dig D2 squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='727732' first='Larkin' last='Pham'], Dexter (2026)

Pham was another talented defender that was able to stand out in all phases of the game this fall for Dexter. In previous Showcase events, Pham showed the defensive skills to play at the next level. She has a lot of determination and drive that should bode well for her when she makes it to North-Greenville next fall for college.

[player_tooltip player_id='442968' first='Amelia' last='Vogelheim'], Brighton (2027)

Vogelheim has been a great asset for Brighton for years now and in previous Showcase events we saw that high ceiling she brought to the court. Vogelheim is able to make difficult plays look relatively easy and her gas tank never seems to get low. She's built herself into one of the top defenders in her class and has a bright future ahead of her.

[player_tooltip player_id='216201' first='Cara' last='Wolf'], GRCC (2026)

Wolf brings a great energy to the court and always is staying positive, even in high-pressure situations. She showed that at our previous Winter Showcase, but backed it up with impressive play that her peers aspired to match. This fall, Wolf finished her prep career on a high note, getting named Third Team All-State in D2 while also being part of our All-Prep Dig Team in D2. Wolf is now heading to Malone College to continue her career.
