Outside Hitters Who Stood Out at the CLUB VT Holiday Bash

At the CLUB VT Holiday Bash, outside hitters played a critical role in controlling tempo, closing sets, and managing high-pressure moments. This group of outsides stood out not just for their ability to score, but for how consistently they handled the full responsibility of the position. Across multiple teams and competitive brackets, these athletes showed composure, versatility, and the ability to impact rallies beyond the swing.   What separated this group was balance. Each athlete contributed offensively while staying engaged in serve receive and defensive transitions, allowing their teams to remain aggressive without sacrificing control. These outsides proved they could be relied on in all phases of play.    Avery brought poise and reliability to the outside position, staying effective against older competition. She showed solid court awareness and remained engaged through long rallies. Offensively, she stayed efficient and made smart decisions against the block. Her ability to compete up an age group stood out. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Alayna impressed with her composure and consistency on the pin. She handled pressure reps well and stayed efficient in offensive sequences. Her movement and effort allowed her to contribute defensively and extend rallies. She showed a strong understanding of when to attack and when to reset the play. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Raelyn brought physicality and confidence to the outside, attacking with purpose while maintaining control. She moved well in transition and stayed aggressive without becoming erratic. Her presence helped stretch opposing blocks and open space for her offense. She competed with confidence throughout the weekend. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Autumn showed a strong understanding of the outside hitter role, contributing offensively while remaining dependable in serve receive. She stayed balanced in high-tempo rallies and made smart decisions under pressure. Her ability to stay steady across rotations added value beyond just point scoring. She played with maturity and awareness. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast     Henley brought stability and confidence to the pin, showing the ability to score in-system while staying composed in transition. She demonstrated smart shot selection and didn't force swings against organized blocks. Defensively, she stayed engaged and moved well in coverage.
