One of the biggest advantages a team can have is flexibility — players who can score, defend, adapt, and fill gaps without disrupting rhythm. During our time inside M2 and Ichiban practices, these pin and hybrid athletes stood out for exactly that reason. They didn't just execute one role well; they gave their teams options.   That versatility showed up in how they trained, how they responded to coaching, and how consistently they supported the system around them.   Here's a closer look at five athletes whose adaptability made a clear impact in practice.    5️⃣ [player_tooltip player_id='805544' first='Gabrielle' last='Leath'] — M2 (DS/OH)   Gabrielle brings energy and competitiveness wherever she's placed. Coaches noted that she could very easily anchor the back row as a libero, but her attacking ability gives her added value. She plays with confidence and isn't afraid to take responsibility in big moments. She loves reading fantasy and romance and simply enjoys having fun. That joy shows up in her play — loose, engaged, and competitive without being frantic. ~ Z.R. Nix @BenchtoBeast     Caroline is steady across the board. Coaches highlighted her consistency, coachability, and all‑around strength — and that showed clearly in practice. She served with intent, defended with discipline, and attacked within the system. She's interested in nursing school and enjoys getting her nails done and shopping for shoes. She doesn't force plays, instead choosing smart options that keep rallies alive and give her team time to reset. Her versatility allows her to contribute across phases without disrupting flow. Off the court, she enjoys drawing and writing and plans to pursue pre‑med studies, with interest in Alabama A&M, UNC, UGA, Georgia Tech, and Mercer. Her disciplined academic path mirrors the way she approaches the game — thoughtful, focused, and purposeful. ~ Z.R. Nix @BenchtoBeast     Lauren brings creativity and confidence into the gym. She moves comfortably across roles, contributes offensively, and understands spacing well enough to stay effective even when rotations shift. Her reps were steady and intentional, with a clear understanding of her responsibilities. She loves musical theater, enjoys singing, and is interested in studying business or real estate. Schools like UGA, Coastal Carolina, Radford, FAU, and UAB are on her list. Her personality translates into a confident but composed presence on the court. ~ Z.R. Nix @BenchtoBeast     Anna approached every rep with openness and effort. Coaches described her as athletic and willing to try, and that mindset showed throughout practice. She adjusted quickly, stayed engaged, and competed without hesitation, even when pushed outside her comfort zone. Outside the gym, she plays soccer, runs cross country, and plays electric guitar.
