Today, I took a look at South Dakota, where volleyball is not only popular but also producing some big time players. Guess where B1G 10 Player of the Year, Bergan Reilly is from? Yes, the standout setter is from South Dakota. Below are some "up and comers" that I discovered during the prep high school season. While these players are all young as freshmen, they all have big time talent, and even bigger potential. She has the ability to read the ball quickly, react even faster, and adapt to hitters. This has made her a constant threat in the backcourt excelling especially at picking up key block touches and setter dumps. Already in second year on varisty, Rudd took her leadership and skills to the court contributing 43 aces, 226 digs, 527 assists, and 17 kills on the season.
