UHSAA Breakdown: 1A Pin Hitters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jumping back into our UHSAA all-state breakdown, we will start with highlighting the 1A division which had many athletes who received an award. A majority of this list contains many who have not been highlighted before, but deserve to be spotlighted just the same. She's a competitor that does not let her size dictate the narrative. So far, Mya has posted 338 career kills and 646 digs as a 3-year varsity starter. She helped her team take first in their region and second in state with her being one of the cornerstones to their success. With Laci being a dual-sport athlete, she is versatile, athletic, and reliable. At 5'8 she exhibits good power and technique to help the Rebels have a successful season. She has the ability to move the ball around and score, even though the intention is not fully developed quite yet. As an attacker, her long arm helps her create adequate power and find her kills in and out of system. She has good mechanics and technique to track and pass balls in serve receive and make great plays in defense and at the net. Impressively, Ally is #9 overall in Utah for total service aces with 81, displaying her effectiveness behind the line. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Several other athletes also made the awards list, but I could not have the opportunity to watch them and could not find film of them playing. However, the magnitude of these awards does not deserve to go unrecognized and I look forward to seeing them play in the future.
