We've finished our breakdown of the class of ‘26 permanently, and are moving on to this year's juniors—-the class of 2027. There is an abundance of talent and potential available in this class, and we're looking forward to writing six articles featuring 30 (!!!) unique athletes and their talents. For those of you new to the process, here's a breakdown of what to expect this week:

What are we showcasing this week?

Most of what these rankings entail have categories per day. Starting tomorrow, we feature five athletes who are Stock Risers—-those athletes who have raised their recruiting “stock” since the last update in the summer. Next, we'll have five New Additions to the rankings, which mention kids that aren't new to the sport, but new to us as evaluators. The following four days will be based on positions—-pin attackers, middles, setters and DS/liberi. Each article will have its own day, and each position will feature (you guessed it) five unique athletes. One thing to mention—-we rarely, if ever have more than one athlete from the same club in the same article. This keeps you, the reader, seeing what we see; the big picture of the entire state is kept in mind when we write.

Are there ways to raise my stock or be noticed more to be evaluated?

This is the single-most common question I get asked. Some of the answers are simple—-coming to our showcases and tournaments throughout the Midwest gets you a ton of visibility. Other ways include contacting us directly, just like [player_tooltip player_id='890374' first='Audra' last='Gehl'] did this past week. She included who she is (a class of ‘28 6'1” MB), where she's from (Greensburg), what club she plays for (SEIVB) and various game play clips that get our eyeballs on her play. You can find my email address in the Scouts section of PrepDig.com and contact me directly, 24/7. If you don't have video available but still want a chance to be evaluated or RE-evaluated, send me your schedule. If THAT doesn't work, be like Jason Hassett, director and lead coach of NCISVBC, who sends me a list of rosters for all of his teams and talks about the comings and goings of his players. As of today, there are TOO MANY CLUBS THAT HAVEN'T POSTED THEIR ROSTERS FOR THE COMING SEASON YET! Get your club coach and/or club director to get your name on a roster list so that my club season (which starts January 11!) can start off with a bang!

Wait, my information is inaccurate, how can I change that?

Our rankings have a functionality that allow you, the reader, free of charge, to make all necessary changes to your profile. From height to position to high school to club, you can change any of it at any time. Don't forget to click “save” when you're done!

What else should I know?

This is the part of the article I hate writing, but is a necessary evil. Most of what I receive from subscribers and players alike are cordial, thorough and easy to read. Sometimes, however, what is sent to us is insulting, nasty and outright inappropriate. For the record—-we do not acknowledge or respond to rude, insulting or insensitive/inappropriate commentary. If anything, we'll delete the email and notate where the email comes from, warning others as to the behavior that should be more controlled. As adults covering a child's game, it IS about the children, always. Let's make it fun and “worth it” for them, as their success is our top priority.
