Young Players Gaining Momentum at the OK Exposure Tour

The classes of 2029 and 2030 are dropping the training wheels and joining the ranks of serious high school volleyball players. At the Prep Dig Exposure Tour in Oklahoma, several young players proved their mettle with some of the top high school players in the state. They displayed determination, even in the fast-paced tempo established by players much more experienced. These five young players are willing to grind to be successful.    [player_tooltip player_id='902260' first='Melinda' last='Parham'] is an outside hitter that plays great defense and transitions well. Although on the smaller side, she uses her massive vertical to give her an advantage and powers through blocks with speed and placement. It's not just her offense that makes her stand out, but she also works hard to get a great ball to the setter before kicking out to approach.     Reagan is a setter from the class of 2029 that strutted her stuff at the Exposure Tour. Her effort and intensity inspire her teammates to match her energy. Reagan hustles after out-of-system passes and puts up a textbook pivot set for her pin hitters. Her consistent and efficient communication keeps her connected with her hitters throughout the rallies. I can't wait to see Reagan's growth this club season; her potential is unlimited!     [player_tooltip player_id='905674' first='Charlette' last='Jones'] is a pin hitter with an incredible block. She finds her hitters and sets up her middle to create an impenetrable wall. Coaches will spend years teaching a player to track her hitter, but as a young player, Charlette naturally sets up accurately. I watched Charlette get three big blocks in a drill at the Oklahoma Prep Dig Exposure Tour and set up her middle to deflect positive touches for the defense. Hitters, make a plan, because Charlette is watching!     [player_tooltip player_id='903044' first='Kendall' last='Gillum'] hustled to set every pass at the Prep Dig Exposure Tour. As a setter playing with unfamiliar passers, Kendall took her responsibility, to make teach ball better, seriously. She worked to position herself well on out-of-system passes and give an accurate set to her hitters ensuring their success. Although one of the youngest players in the gym, Kendall's effort and skill made her a player to watch this club season!     [player_tooltip player_id='915682' first='Rylie' last='Amos'] was another young setter in the gym at the Prep Dig Exposure Tour. Her set placement gave her hitters a great opportunity to score. And while her placement was spot-on, Rylie gave the hitters an additional advantage with her tricky hands. Rylie unpredictably sets the length of the net leaving the blockers tricked or frozen in place. Several times Rylie gifted her hitter with a hole in the block because of her crafty sets.
