210 Countdown City Classic Tourney Top Performers Vol 4

Which players earned a Top Performer award this past weekend? The Countdown City Classic tourney happened this weekend in San Antonio and it brought a ton of talent that we got to see under one roof from all over Texas. All of the divisions had some fantastic teams who competed at a very high level and we were in person to check out the battles. Let's take a look at some of the players who earned one of our Top Performer awards for their individual play.    [player_tooltip player_id='781956' first='Finley' last='Weikle'] turned heads at the 210 Countdown City Classic with a six-rotation performance that earned her Top Performer recognition and showcased her all-around impact on the court. At 5'11", Weikle played with a relentless motor, consistently pursuing the ball with urgency and refusing to let rallies end easily. Her defensive effort stood out, as she repeatedly sacrificed her body without hesitation, sprawling on the floor to keep plays alive and shift momentum back to her team. From an offensive standpoint, she proved to be a reliable scoring option at the net, terminating points with confidence whenever her number was called. Her ability to contribute on both ends of the floor made her especially valuable at the open level, where balance and endurance are critical. Beyond the physical tools, Weikle's passion for the game was evident in every rally, energizing her teammates and elevating the group's overall intensity. With her work rate, versatility, and competitive fire, she looks like a young outside hitter with a high ceiling and a bright future ahead.     Toyosi Sodipo delivered a performance at the 210 Countdown City Classic that left little doubt she will be featured prominently when the Prep Dig Texas 2029 rankings are updated. At 6'1", Sodipo already shows a level of body control and coordination that many athletes her size are still developing, allowing her to play the middle position with rare efficiency. Defensively, she profiles as a true shutdown blocker, using quick reads, disciplined hand positioning, and strong lateral movement to take away attacking lanes. Her footwork stood out from a technical standpoint, as she moved effortlessly along the net and arrived balanced and on time for every blocking assignment. Offensively, she was perfectly in rhythm on quick attacks, consistently getting up early and contacting the ball at an ideal point. Her speed off the floor and ability to stay on tempo made her extremely difficult to defend, even against well-organized blocks. With her physical tools, refined mechanics, and competitive presence, Sodipo has the potential to become one of the premier middle blockers in the country and will undoubtedly command the attention of college coaches nationwide.     Bella Obiefuna put together a strong showing at the 210 Countdown City Classic, earning Top Performer recognition through her consistency and discipline in the middle. Standing at 6', Obiefuna was consistently on time for every shoot set she was given, a critical skill for a middle blocker looking to compete at the elite level. From a technical standpoint, she drives her footwork aggressively toward the net, allowing her to arrive balanced and ready to attack in front of the setter. Her physical presence takes up significant space defensively, creating problems for opposing hitters trying to find clean seams. What stood out just as much was her ability to transition off the net efficiently, getting into defensive position quickly and resetting for the next phase of play. That ability to move seamlessly between offense and defense is a key indicator of middle blockers who can sustain high-level play across long matches. With her size, timing, and transition skills, Obiefuna proved to be a reliable and impactful piece for her Austin Skyline squad throughout the tournament.
