A Tribute To Clint: A Prep Dig Kansas Free Report
In this article:
So those of you who really know me understand I love a quality movie.
Those who are in the loop understand that I am struggling a little bit right now.
Those of you who don't know, well, just imagine that you do, and understand that work must go on!
The Kansas Class of 2028 rankings are expected to be released this coming week, and here is the third preview of said rankings.
In case you missed the first two reports, below are two links that will direct you to that content.
Just to be clear, I have made this report a "Free Report," but to read the other two reports, you will need a subscription. Those interested in a new subscription can use the Coupon Code Deckard30 to save 30 percent on a new subscription.
This report features seven ranked athletes and is also meant to be a tribute to a man I consider one of the greatest actors of all time, Clint Eastwood.
He has too many film credits to list in one scouting report, but there are three of his movies that provided extra inspiration for this report.
They are the three movies that make up what is often referred to as the Man with No Name Trilogy: A Fistful Of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.
In honor of this icon and these three movies, here is a "screenplay" for Seven Women Without Faces. Think of it as a sequel to Two Mules For Sister Sarah, without the mules and Shirley MacLaine.
These are the seven highest-ranked athletes in the Prep Dig Kansas 2028 Rankings who are missing Prep Dig profile photos.
Prep Dig profiles have been created for each athlete. Athletes can use the link below to claim their FREE profiles. https://prepdig.com/prospect-index/. As I have written several times before, a complete Prep Dig Profile goes a long way with the college coaches who subscribe to this website, and a complete profile adds to the professional, polished look I desire to see on Prep Dig Kansas.
Besides, who wants to look at a box with a faceless gray head next to their name? Not this guy! It's hard enough attempting to remember thousands of ranked volleyball players, let alone remembering them with no face to go along with the name.
Also, don't get me wrong, I understand “some” of the reasons why athletes and parents don't want to put their faces out on the web. However, be honest, the government and big brother already know who you are, so don't put yourself at a disadvantage in the wild, wild west of college recruiting by not putting yourself out there on a nationally recognized volleyball website.
Athletes will want to return on January 6 to see where they landed in the rankings. I hope some of those who have not will add profile pics, because it's not too late to move up a spot or two before Tuesday's rankings are updated.
Now, do yourself a favor. Take a break from your busy teenage lives, pop some popcorn, and enjoy a movie today.
Emmy Kaberline

State
KS
, 5'10”, OH/MB, Andover Central, ‘28
Kaberline is a salty hitter for the Jaguars. She finished with 334 kills in 81 sets last season and has a dead-eye shot like Eastwood's Outlaw Josey Wales.
Emily Criqui Emily Criqui 5'9" | OH KS , 5'11”, OH, Marais des Cygnes Valley, ‘28
Criqui is one of the top hitters in the class as she finished with 581 kills in 95 sets during her sophomore campaign. Criqui is just tough-nosed enough to take on the Eastwood role of Harry Callahan in The Enforcer.
Ayla Ritchie Ayla Ritchie 5'11" | MB KS , 5'11”, MB, Ellinwood, ‘28
Ritchie finished her sophomore season with 140 kills and 61 blocks for the undefeated Class 2A state champion. Maybe Ellinwood Head Coach Greg Maxwell can convince Eastwood to direct the team's 2026 Season Highlight Film: Where Eagles Dare!
Micah Ellegood Micah Ellegood 5'11" | MH KS , 5'11”, MB, Great Bend, ‘28
Ellegood was Great Bend's leading blocker last season. She recorded 60 blocks and 146 kills for the Panthers during her sophomore campaign. She can protect the net as well as Eastwood's Secret Service Agent Frank Horrigan protected the President of the United States in In The Line Of Fire.
Raicee Lipker Raicee Lipker 5'5" | S Clay Center | 2028 State KS , 5'5”, S, Clay Center, ‘28
Lipker dished out 1,069 assists for the Tigers last fall. That's more assists than left-handed jabs thrown by Eastwood's Philo Beddoe in Every Which Way But Loose. She also led Clay Center in Aces with 47. That total is higher than No. 1 songs by the movie's theme song crooner, Kenny Loggins.
Ellen Dorsey Ellen Dorsey 5'6" | S St. James Academy | 2028 State KS , 5'6”, S, St. James Academy, ‘28
St. James Academy's Dorsey dished out 967 assists for the Thunder as a sophomore and tallied 222 digs to boot. I suppose you could suggest that Dorsey is ready for a starring role alongside Eastwood in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, or perhaps she is ready to lead her squad like Gunny Highway in Heartbreak Ridge.
Karys Deiter Karys Deiter OH KS , 5'7”, OH, Silver Lake, ‘28
Deiter is an up-and-coming multi-sport star in Silver Lake to follow. During her sophomore season, she posted top marks with 313 kills, 253 digs, and 316 serve receptions. She is going to replace Criqui by playing Detective Callahan in the Dirty Harry classic The Dead Pool. Silver Lake, Dead Pool, do you see the play on words there?
God, I love writing! I wish everyone else appreciated it as much as I do! Again, if you know, you know!
And yes, I watched all three movies in the Man With No Name trilogy yesterday with three sleeping Frenchies in my lap.
