Five Nike Classic Day Three High Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Pioneer Region saw three other teams win championships in the 17U and 15U levels in the Nike Classic at the Columbus Convention Center.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='481203' first='Northern' last='Kentucky Volleyball Club']'s 15-2 team won the 15 Premier Division and the Tri-State Elite 17 White won the 17 Premier Division. If opponents did not have anyone that could match her vertical jump, they were sometimes in for a long game. Green does a lot of short tips and swings. Green has a solid jump serve and can tone them down to catch opponents off-guard. Mathes stays calm under duress, quickly moving on from mistakes. Mathes denies tipped balls at the net. She is quickly learning her new teammates and is a nice communicator on the court. She gets in great position to make sound passes. She puts balls wherever her teammates instruct her to do so. She runs nice tandems and can do effective back sets. McDonald does a great job on first touches.
