Five Underclass Prospects to Get on the Radar

Big lift off the court allows her to make dynamic plays on the ball above the net while her versatility to perform from either side of the court is a big asset to her game. A NTDP participant and member of Mode 15, she has a high ceiling to her game and is certainly going to garner a lot of attention going forward.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='890166' first='Bryn' last='Kastberg']</strong> - OH<br>Kastberg led Sumner's offense in 2025 as she terminated 231 kills for a 3.3 k/s average. She earned SPSL honorable mention all-league honors for her effort. An avid beach competitor, Kastberg is developing good all-around tools for the indoor game to help her impact her team's success both with her first-touch tools and ability to score at the pins even more effectively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Nora McCormick</strong> - MB/S<br>McCormick was a big factor for La Conner and their late season push into the playoffs in 2025. The 5'6 sophomore was a team leader in multiple areas including of the offensive side as she earned a team high 219 kills for a 2.9 k/s average. She also helped distribute the offense as well with 238 assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='702566' first='Kate' last='Beardslee'] </strong>- OH/RS<br>The 5'10 Beardslee doubled her freshman season output with nearly 300 kills as she led Northport with a 3.8 k/s average. As their primary option offensively and their most skilled prospect, she is a pivotal part of this program's effort. The sophomore excelled in other areas as well with nearly 10 digs per match, 2.3 b/m, and a team best 68 service aces, highlighting a well-rounded skill set. She was the Northeast 1B MVP following the 2025 high school season as Northport finished 18-7 overall and 1st in league play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='911394' first='Courtney' last='Deresh']</strong> - DS/L<br>Deresh is a 5'4 libero prospect from Inglemoor and currently part of the Blue Royals 16 Emerald squad. Inglemoor's leader defensively, she finished the 2025 high school season with 327 total digs for a 19.2 d/m average. She engages well during point flow and prepares herself well to have to make a play on the ball. Her tools include good use of her platform but also effective reaction and use of emergency skills defensively. Deresh's high production means she's creating opportunities for her team's offense while helping to slow down opponents.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
