Four 11th Region 2028 DS/Liberos on the Rise

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 11th Region is loaded with tough hitters meaning solid defenses are imperative to succeed on a regular basis. It's one of the big reasons Lexington Catholic finished 33-5 last year, won a second straight 11th Region crown and drove to the state semifinals for the first time in program history. Howard (pictured) anticipates balls well then makes sound bump and overhead passes. Hard-hit crosses and other shots bounce off her arms like ping pong balls. She puts great touch on her out of system passes so hitters can rip balls hard. Howard sends across solid serves. Millard is sound with how she squares her hips to balls then follows through for solid two to three-point passes. Millard has great range to drop back on balls and even move forward quickly to reach tips. She goes hard after balls then makes precise two to three-point passes. Kirk then runs up toward the net and provides Madison Southern with nice net coverage. Gorshak uses a good platform to step toward balls and make controlled passes. Gorshak only dives or lunges out of necessity. However, Gorshak has shown she can make pancake digs.
