Front Row Fire: 2027 Hitters Enter the Rankings

As the 2027 class continues to take shape across Nevada, several athletes have officially worked their way into our 2027 rankings. Whether it's shutting things down at the net, bringing heat from the pins, or turning the energy of the gym all the way up, this group has made their presence felt. They've shown consistency, competitiveness, and the kind of impact that pops on film and in big moments. Here are a few names we recently added.    Boneva was a dominant presence at the net this season, leading the state in blocks (165) with 34 solo stuffs, anchoring her team's defense as a true front-row wall. What makes her even more intriguing is her all-around impact — she added 31 aces from the service line (yes, a middle that serves) and posted a .221 hitting percentage. She's a strong attacker who's comfortable running multiple tempos. Already a tournament winner this club season, she's proving to be a difference-maker in the middle with her presence on both sides of the ball. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     Butts uses her size and reach effectively, pairing a strong, confident swing with a soft touch when tipping is the right play. Her ability to score over and around blockers made her a key piece in Spanish Springs' run to state. She finished the season with 125 kills, 42 blocks, and an impressive .303 hitting percentage, consistently impacting matches at a high level. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     One of the most exciting players to watch in the gym, Thomas brings energy every time she goes up to attack. She has a great approach, powerful swing, and plays with confidence, often turning momentum in her team's favor. A true six-rotation outside, she played a major role in helping Mojave reach the second round of the playoffs. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     Carr brings versatility and reliability to the pin. She recorded 150 kills, 97 digs, and 30 aces, showing her ability to contribute in all phases of the game.
