January Breakouts: Versatile Front Row Impact Players

After the first full month of club tournaments, we are continuing our look at players who have made a name for themselves in January. Let's take a look at the athletes who manage the net. These five players attack and defend to score points, earning their teams momentum. At 6'2”, [player_tooltip player_id='737518' first='Brianni' last='Kimbro'] makes an immediate, intimidating impact in the front row. Coming off the bench and producing an instant block, she brought impressive size, timing, and physicality that quickly shifted momentum in an early January match. With her big blocks and efficient, strong swings, Brianni has established herself as a reliable threat early in the season.     [player_tooltip player_id='752787' first='Aven' last='Payne'] runs the net. Her play is marked by savvy attacks and strong blocks. At 6'0” with a big jump, she takes up a lot of space, making it tough for hitters to find a way to score. The scariest thing about Aven is that she is a young player who is open to feedback from her coaches during matches. While already a very skilled player, she has loads of potential to dominate Oklahoma nets for the next several years.     [player_tooltip player_id='904381' first='Lillian' last='Reimer']'s breakout season is loading. She has quick feet, a fast swing, and transitions really well. Lillian is a class of 2030 athlete who plays like an older player with years of experience and reps. She moves with efficiency and contributes in a big way at the net. At the Exposure Tour, Lillian impressively strutted her stuff, blending in with older, seasoned players.     Valerie Courtney puts a strong defense on the net for Charge. She moves her block well from pin to pin and closes quickly to her outside blockers. In early January, she converted her blocking technique into two block kills in one set at Redlands. She is not only a focused, mobile defender, but Courtney also has a strong swing in the middle, making her a point earner on both offense and defense.     Lexus Hall's versatility impacted her team in January. She attacks effectively from the middle and the pins, delivering strong swings from multiple areas of the net. Her hitting versatility confuses the blocker's timing and creates scoring opportunities. Lexus is a player to keep an eye on at the net!
