We're rounding out the year, and the recruiting out of the state of Michigan has been so much fun to watch!

The 2027 class was the talk of the town this year, as Michigan continues to upgrade in talent, skill and depth of players competing throughout the state. The 2027 group was one to watch. With that being said, so many 2026s were still up for grabs and have found their home this year. 2026 right around the corner, we shall be seeing much more announcements roll in.

Commitments flying left and right, it was hard to keep up with who was going where. No need to worry though, because we have you covered. Let's take a look at another addition of Commitment Catch-Up.

[player_tooltip player_id='916619' first='Tatiana' last='Williams'] to Edinboro University

5'10 OH - Pinckney/Legacy

[player_tooltip player_id='916619' first='Tatiana' last='Williams'] has been coming up in the ranks quite hot as of late. She had an incredible club season in 2025 with Dynamite, where it seems the outside hitter really found her footing. From here, she went on to have a dominating senior fall season with Pinckney as one of the SEC's top attackers.

This managed to catch the eye of one of the stronger PSAC Volleyball programs in Edinboro. The Scots have found themselves to have had quite the success with recent Michigan prospects including fellow former SEC standout, S Laney Burns from Saline and OH Makayla Neelands from Clio. Williams will enter the program with a lot of recent momentum on her side that could bode well for her and this program.

[player_tooltip player_id='586761' first='Alexis' last='Carper'] to Central Michigan

5'10 OH - Roscommon

In what may be a very big surprise to many, this announcement turned a lot of heads. [player_tooltip player_id='586761' first='Alexis' last='Carper'] out of Roscommon recently announced her commitment to Central Michigan! The multi-sport, multi-positional Carper has been ascending through the ladder of the sport herself, much like Williams. Sticking to very local, smaller level club, but finding a lot of success in the high school ranks, Carper has managed to catch the eye of newest Chippewa HC and former 4x National Champion, Arielle Wilson.

Just after her first season with the Chippewas, Coach Wilson is looking to take this program to the next level and doing so by taking some risks. One of them, that could very much be one that turns out extremely well for her, is Carper. A player with a very diverse athletic back ground and yet, so raw in the game, Carper is a player that could excel greatly under Wilson and this new era of CMU volleyball.

[player_tooltip player_id='442969' first='Avery' last='Stepp'] to Palm Beach Atlantic

5'5 DS/L - South Lyon East/Legacy

South Lyon East has one of the strongest back row tandems in the Stepp sisters. [player_tooltip player_id='442967' first='Addison' last='Stepp'] announced her commitment to Alabama this summer and now we get to see where the second half of that duo will go. For [player_tooltip player_id='442969' first='Avery' last='Stepp'], she, too, will be headed to the south in Palm Beach Atlantic. This is another incredibly strong Division 2 program that could very well see themselves, as well as this player, elevate mutually over the course of the next several years.

PBA has become a top contender in both their league and in the division for years now. They continue to pull the best talent regionally and are beginning to see some pull nationally, as you can see with a pick up like Stepp. Stepp will join another Michigan recruit in incoming freshman, 2026 recruit, [player_tooltip player_id='806307' first='Leah' last='Burlison'], OH from Hudsonville. These two will surely make significant waves for the Sailfish.

[player_tooltip player_id='728154' first='Nikki' last='Fedewa'] to Michigan-Dearborn

6'2 MB - Pewamo-Westphalia/Michigan Elite

The southeast portion of Michigan has been quite the destination for talent out of the Pewamo-Westphalia cannon. And there has been a lot of talent coming out of this part of the state lately. From Taylor Smith going to Eastern Michigan, to Saige Martin going to Wayne State, now there is [player_tooltip player_id='728154' first='Nikki' last='Fedewa'] heading to Michigan-Dearborn. Fedewa is the latest highlight star from the PW program that has become quite the powerhouse in Division 3 over the years since their dominant victory in 2023.

Fedewa joins this program looking to get back into the fold of the WHAC. The WHAC has become dominated by crosstown rivals in Lawrence Tech and cross-state rivals in Aquinas. UMD picking up a player with the size and potential physicality as that of Fedewa will really be a move in the right direction for this program.

[player_tooltip player_id='586437' first='Madalin' last='Hersman'] to Dartmouth

5'11 OH/L - Forest Hills Northern/Legacy

This has been one of my biggest questions in the last few months, where is [player_tooltip player_id='586437' first='Madalin' last='Hersman'] going?! While I did hear rumblings Hersman was heavily interested in the Ivy's, it wasn't clear as to where exactly this one was heading too. Now, here we are, finally with some answers. And talk about a big pick up for Darmouth!

[player_tooltip player_id='586437' first='Madalin' last='Hersman'] has steadily, but surely become one of the strongest overall players in this 2026 class. From just about every aspect of the game, Hersman thrives in. It's really a shame Dartmouth doesn't have a beach program, because this player would find herself in the top flight! She is an excellent receiver and defender, serves the ball really aggressive and has an excellent vision for the court as an attacker. Hersman can hit just about any ball you give her.
