The beat goes on.

Much of our early-season coverage has been dedicated to finding out what's new and exciting about Nebraska's Class of 2029. We've already released the first watch list for this group, but we acknowledged the limitations of that release, too. Last fall's high school offense gave us a narrow window into Nebraska's top 2029s. The club season ramps things up tenfold.

Part 1 addressed some early stars to note, but we're back for Part 2.

As we saw in Part 1, Lincoln Christian freshmen have a strong foothold on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Elite roster. Drevo adds to the trend and brings a multi-faceted skill set around the dial. Last weekend's Gold Series brought Drevo's distribution into the spotlight, particularly in 15 Elite's three-hitter rotations. VCNebraska setters are often known for their quickness, agility, and precision--all traits Drevo offers in any rotation. She can also score on the right pin if needed, adding to her early stardom on the Star City scene.

Let's move into the middle. Ball control is often a dominant storyline in VCNebraska lineups, but we can't forget about the heavy arms setting the tone along the net. Fullerton brings that power for 15 Elite and is effective on the 'gap' sets that have become a hallmark of VCN offenses. Of course, this versatile athlete can also stretch out opposing blockers by teeing off on the slide behind the setter. No matter which route she runs, Fullerton is a force who ought to see plenty of attacking volume in 2026.

The Ruch name is synonymous with strength at the middle blocker position, but this latest iteration may be writing the script. This Millard North freshman has an extensive background in the middle but has gravitated toward the outside in recent months. It's a testament to Ruch's ability to score in any situation. She has an explosive step-close that translates well to pin-hitting dominance, and Ruch has also developed her shot variety and range on the left side. Positional designations may evolve, but Ruch will remain in the spotlight regardless.

Last weekend's event gave us our first look at Premier Nebraska 15 Black, and we were immediately drawn to the team's backcourt talent. Ritterbush anchored the end line through much of Sunday's action and did the "dirty work" to help her teammates soar. We're conditioned to expect pinpoint passing from Premier Nebraska liberos, so Ritterbush's exceptional Sunday performance was no surprise. However, this Millard West freshman was also a strong communicator who pushed 15 Black through early-season jitters and learning experiences. These reps lay the foundation for future qualifier success.

We've had our eye on this Scotus Central Catholic prospect leading into the club season, and Langan is already asserting herself with Premier Nebraska 15 Red. When 15 Red needs a clutch out-of-system swing, Langan is a frequent target for her setters. She hits with tremendous heat on the left side and is not afraid to go pass-to-attack from the front row. We now have full context for Langan putting up nearly 200 kills in her first season with the Shamrocks, and 2025 was just the beginning.

We always find a way to bring last year's state champions back into the picture. Albers Dorn broke into the Freeman lineup last fall and was a catalyst for the team's title breakthrough in Class C2. This explosive outside hitter tallied over two kills per set in her debut prep campaign and had double-digit terminations in each of Freeman's three postseason matches. She was at her best when it mattered the most, and Albers Dorn's ascent hasn't slowed with [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 15 Black. Her squad sparred with the best of the Great Plains Region at last weekend's Gold Series, allowing Albers Dorn to hone her craft further.

The beat goes on.
