Southeast Michigan is one of the territories where volleyball teams can get overlooked, but it's clearly a diamond mine for talent.

From Detroit to Ann Arbor to Macomb County, Southeast Michigan covers a lot of space and there's a lot of great underclassmen to keep an eye on from that part of Michigan.

Here's Part 1 of a 3-part look at the top sophomores and freshmen from Southeast Michigan.

[player_tooltip player_id='741882' first='Georgia' last='Addleman'], Fr. S/RS Parma Western/Team Pineapple

Addleman was a combo player that wasn't afraid to step up for her team this fall. The 6'1” freshman had 242 kills, 480 assists, 132 digs, 70 blocks, and 62 aces. There wasn't an area that Addleman didn't show a lot of potential, which makes her a big-time prospect in the next three years. She earned All-State and All-Prep Dig honors for D2.

[player_tooltip player_id='787909' first='Olivia' last='Babcock'], Fr. S Jonesville

Babcock displayed a lot of good composure and leadership skills for a freshman, as she recorded over 500 assists and 250 digs for Jonesville. Playing against a lot of good talent, Babcock was willing to take chances and be aggressive in her setting.

[player_tooltip player_id='587016' first='Lillian' last='Bowman'], So. OH Plymouth Christian/Michigan Elite

Plymouth Christian has a lot of talent on the roster as is, and Bowman is a promising talent that will be a force in the years to come. She had 317 kills with 318 digs and 77 aces. Bowman always left it all on the court and was able to swing a set with her attacks, defense, or serves. She received All-State honors in D3.

Alexis Bryner, So. OH Pittsford

Bryner was a well-balanced and explosive player for Pittsford. The sophomore had 270 kills, 147 digs, 48 blocks, and 49 aces. Bryner got stronger as the season went on, finding more consistency in her finishing ability. She earned All-State honors in D4 this fall.

Raquel Canada, So. S Renaissance

Canada did some good things running the Renaissance offense this fall, including getting some great hitting percentages out of her outsides. Canada also did a good job of knowing when to play the ball herself, hitting .360 when she made a dump or swing. Canada's defensive choices also showed promise.

[player_tooltip player_id='774460' first='Harper' last='Dallaire'], Fr. MH Grosse Pointe North/Michigan Elite

The 6'1” freshman middle made a big statement with her finishing ability this fall, as she put down 262 kills while hitting .311. She also was a real terror on the block, racking up 108 on the season. To put up this kind of a production as a freshman bodes well for what she can do in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='788886' first='Bristol' last='Davenport'], Fr. OH Southgate Anderson/Legacy

Davenport came through with some timely kills for Anderson and showed a lot of good growth as a player during her time on the court. She was limited to just 64 sets of play, but still put down 233 kills and 148 digs.
