It is early February and teams are really starting to come together and find their groove. We are starting to see individual players take big strides and have their skill set massively improve. Our scouts were able to watch a lot of good volleyball at February Fiesta this weekend. let's take a look at five players who were pivotal to their teams success but might not be the flashiest players.

[player_tooltip player_id='734804' first='Lillian' last='Crouch']: Setter for Virago 15 Elite. I have gotten to watch her progress and grow over the past two seasons. It's really starting to come full circle for her. She is a very high IQ player with the ability to stay calm under pressure. She was a huge part of Virago's runner-up finish. She was consistent all weekend long and a key part of their offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='879988' first='Aleeya' last='Lewis']- Setter/Right Side for [program_tooltip program_id='432025' first='OK' last='Charge'] 15 American Tulsa. Aleeya as an underrated player who does a ton to impact the game. She plays all six rotations, when she goes to the back row, she sets. Her ability to set the ball against the flow and create favorable matchups for her hitters was on full display every time we walked by. Her digging and attacking her nice compliments to her game.

Rylie Purkeypile- Middle Blocker for Peak 14-1. Rylie and company were playing up not one but 2 age divisions this weekend. She may have the most fun last name to say in the building. Although watching her and her team play is pretty fun too. She brings a lot to the table, especially from a mechanical standpoint. She is setting herself up to be a very high-level player in the future. She impacts the game as a middle, both offensively and defensively.

Kynlei Willis- Defensive Specialist for [program_tooltip program_id='776295' first='Tulsa' last='Power'] 15-1. Kynlei did a really good job in the back row for TPV. Her consistent passing gave her teams offense lot of opportunity for first ball side out situations. She's a very hard-working individual who flies around in transition while she is digging. Since she is a coaches kid, it is no surprise that she loves to compete for every single point available.

[player_tooltip player_id='931567' first='Alice' last='Michaels']- Setter for Elevate 15.1. Alice might not be the tallest setter to play all six rotations this weekend, but she is just as effective. On multiple opportunities, she kept the defense guessing by attacking the ball when she was in the front row. She's becoming a well-rounded setter that when surrounded by solid hitters, really stands out and makes the most of every opportunity.

Thank you to all the parents that stopped and talked with us. It was nice putting names with faces and receiving all the compliments. We are working our tails off the best we can to provide coverage and exposure to the awesome athletes we have here in Oklahoma. These girls put blood, sweat and tears into this game that we all love. Next weekend is the Kaizen Invitational in Tulsa and then the always BIG TIME rankings tournament in OKC.
