Hidden Gems at the President's Day Invitational

We are uncovering talent across the mid west with lots to explore the first day of the K2 President's Day Invitational AAU 3 Day Tournament in Knoxville, TN, put on by Top Court Events! A well-run tournament hosting clubs from the East to West Coast with a depth of talent once again stamping the fact the volleyball is on the uprise and thriving! Here are some of our finds for Saturday's coverage!    Emily sticks out on the court; she is a weapon! A confident full rotation player who's talent runs deep! With a super clean strong swing Emily racks up kills on the court. She has a great attack and great ball control to find the seams and the opponents weak spots. She shows excellent court IQ digging from the back row and moves quickly and fluidly providing excellent coverage. She has an equally impressive serve that skims the net and can get deep to the corners backing up the opposition. She shows excellent enthusiasm and consistent game play! One to keep track of!     Iris(pictured) is no stranger to us, but she keeps getting our attention! She is advancing in her play rapidly with consistent accurate sets across the court or in her back set. She demonstrates excellent court IQ with an effective sneaky setter dump to help her team gain points readily. She uses her front line well varying her sets acknowledging the oppositions positions and uses great judgment in her options. She gets to the ball readily and turns bad passes into good sets with great hands and form! She has excellent enthusiasm and runs the court smoothly and efficiently showing a good relationship with her pins and middles. She can serve up aces and has unlimited energy and support for her teammates. She is going up the ladder fast!     Abby can produce on all levels! A talented pin that looks to be developing into a high-quality player! With an excellent strong cross court kill Abby gets the job done repeatedly, she produces beautiful swings from a great approach with great contact and placement showing excellent ball control and consistency throughout sets. She can tip readily and gets up for the block on the front line and provides good coverage for her teammates. She shows good enthusiasm on the court and takes direction well from the coach! We love her play and can't wait to see more!     A quick and agile libero that can hold down the backrow Anna brings her game to the court. With a wicked serve that accumulate aces Anna grabs attention. She is game ready with a good stance and moves easily and correctly on first touches to get the ball up and to the setter. She has a good platform and returns the ball with correct shoulder angles and control. She can dig a hard ball and pass up accurately and is able to soften them tough hits up! She covers the back row well with good enthusiasm and shows great court IQ moving with the play and being vocal on the court. A hidden gem that's worth uncovering! Take note!     Hailey is a powerhouse! She repeatedly shows her strength on the court hitting big kills and making big plays. She Is a pillar to her team that is relied on heavily. She can get up for the block with good timing and technique and shows great consistency playing a full rotation. She tips cleverly and shows good ball control and placement with sneaky tips down the line. She is aggressive in her attack and will send the opposition backwards in anticipation of her kills that carry superior downward trajectory. She will dig heartily and come up with balls that seem lost. She is a gamechanger on the court and a force on every play!
