With several of Oklahoma's top teams competing at qualifiers like KC's Triple Crown and the President's Day Classic, along with the OKRVA Rankings Tournament coming up next weekend, new opportunities opened for other athletes to step into the spotlight. This weekend, teams that do not always receive consistent attention competed at a high level and made their presence known. These five unranked athletes gave their teams a competitive edge and proved they are well worth a closer look.

Want more Kaizen coverage? She is a forgiving hitter who used a textbook approach to score three kills in one pool play set at Kaizen. She showed discipline and good decision-making by allowing opposing attacks to land out of bounds rather than forcing rallies. She paired her defensive consistency with a strong standing float serve and delivered excellent second balls when the setter dug the attack.

Riley Kellog is a libero who handled broken plays and junk balls effectively while providing solid serve receive throughout the weekend. She executed quality digs and covered tight on her hitters. In pool play, she applied pressure from the service line with a pair of aces. She is a steady defensive player who is fun to watch.
