Long rallies, quick turnarounds, early starts, and athletes who showed up ready to compete from the first whistle. The standouts were the ones who stayed disciplined in their approach, communicated through pressure moments, and never took a rep off.   You could see the offseason preparation — stronger first steps, cleaner platforms, more confident swings. Players who embraced tough rotations, fought through out-of-system plays, and kept their energy steady match after match. That's what separated them on Day 1.   This recap highlights the athletes who put in the work and let their game speak loudest. What stood out was her ability to press over the net and take away space on the block — sealing the seam and forcing attackers into tighter windows.
