Reliable Liberos in the Skyline Classic 5

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The club volleyball season continues to progress at full pace in the country, and every weekend, dozens of tournaments of all levels are held in the state of Texas. Prep Dig continues to follow many of them, attending events and tracking down the most exciting young players in the Lone Star State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday, January 31, we made it to the recently renovated facilities of the&nbsp;<a href="https://prepdig.com/program/houston-skyline/"><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline']</strong></a>&nbsp;club, which hosted the Skyline Classic #5. A lefty, she was very aggressive from the service line and generated many free ball opportunities to her team with her potent and well-placed floaters. Davis also did very well in her defensive duties, moving quickly on the back row and digging almost everything that went her way. She was very stable in seve-receive, stepping up to cover a large area of the court and remaining accurate with her deliveries. Roehling displayed great ball control when playing defense, generating transition opportunities to her team after controlling hard-driven swings at the left back position. Very dynamic and quick with her movement, she was very active and efficient on the back row, doing a good job of keeping the ball off the floor when playing defense. Ramirez handled every serve that went her way well, showing great technique and confidence on the ball. The libero had a big role in serve-receive for her team, leading their efforts and helping keep them in system with her accurate passing. Hernandez was very active defensively, too, combining great positioning and superior ball control to get many touches on the back row and deny points to opponents.
