We are excited to write an article that is a little bit of fun and showcase a different side of some players in Oklahoma. Having a sister is special by itself but having the opportunity to play a sport you both love together is rare and should be cherished. We reached out to three pairs of sisters here in Oklahoma and asked them a little about thier sister. Check out what they had to say about each other.

Whats one thing your sister does better than you in volleyball? Ava can literally do it all, but her back row defense and serve receive are so consistent. She really improved in those areas over the last year, which is something I'm constantly watching and trying to learn from.

Whats one thing you want her to know? I want her to know that there's no one else I'd rather have on the court with me. We're both chasing big goals, and I love that we're doing it together. I'm always going to be her biggest cheerleader.

Whats it like playing with her?I love always having a constant supporter on the court. If I make a mistake, the first person I look at is Ava, and she's always there to cheer me on or give me that look that tells me to just move onto the next play and shake it off. It's basically like having a built-in best friend on every team. That was a huge deal for us when we were younger and joining a team where everyone already knew each other. Having her there made everything less stressful.

Whats one thing your sister does better than you in volleyball? Braelyn's reach at the net is crazy. I've always been proud of my vertical but she's currently touching 9'2”, which put her in the top of our class at the February fiesta last weekend. I tried really hard to beat her on Sunday, but I'll get her next time!

Whats one thing you want her to know? I want her to know how proud I am of the work she's putting in behind the scenes. Most people just see the highlights but I see the extra hours she puts in at the gym to get where she is now.

Whats it like playing with her? Playing with Braelyn is all I've ever known. I like having someone on the court who just gets it and knows exactly where I'm coming from. She keeps me motivated to stay locked in and play my best every game and we can give each other feedback in a way that I might not with other teammates. We just have that connection and are able to talk freely with each other if that makes sense.
