Ranked No. 23 overall in the Texas 2027 class by Prep Dig, [player_tooltip player_id='807951' first='Vanessa' last='Glenn'] continues to show why she is one of the most reliable and technically sound back-row players in her age group. Competing at the prestigious Triple Crown NIT, Glenn played a pivotal role in helping [program_tooltip program_id='431308' first='Texas' last='Advantage'] Volleyball march to an undefeated championship run. While she has developed as a versatile outside hitter over the years, what stood out most in this event was her transformation into a high-level defensive specialist, operating primarily out of the right back zone in TAV's 5-1 system. Her disciplined, low defensive posture allows her to make late adjustments without sacrificing platform angle or timing against heavy swings. Miss Glen demonstrates impressive lower-body dexterity, contorting and shifting in both directions to create optimal digging angles even when attacked in the seam. She does not overreact; instead, she absorbs pace and delivers controlled balls to target, keeping her team's offense flowing. In serve receive, her ball control remains elite showcasing a calm, quiet platform, and consistent first contacts even under national-level serving pressure. That reliability is exactly what allows a high-powered offense to stay in rhythm. Beyond the technical skill, her poise was evident against the best competition in the country. Vanessa's individual performance was instrumental in TAV's championship success, and her growth into a defensive weapon at this level speaks volumes about her development. Please join us in congratulating Vanessa on earning Top Performer honors at the Triple Crown NIT.

As A5 16-1 powered its way to a 16U championship at the prestigious Triple Crown NIT, much of the spotlight naturally gravitated toward their high-powered offensive weapons. And rightfully so seeing as they have some of the most dynamic attackers in the country. But when you study the film closely, you begin to appreciate the true engine behind that efficiency. Chelsea was masterful in her distribution, consistently placing the ball on a “tee” for her hitters to swing without hesitation. Her location was precise, her tempo intentional, and her decision-making advanced. At 6'1”, Miss Torrance brings size to the setter position, but what separates her is touch and spatial awareness. She threaded the needle repeatedly, hitting bullseyes on tight windows and delivering hittable balls even when the pass drifted off target. Out-of-system balls never seemed to rattle her. Instead, she tracked them down with calm footwork and still managed to deliver a set that allowed her hitters to remain aggressive. That ability to neutralize chaos and keep an offense flowing is what elite setters do. She understands leverage, matchups, and when to accelerate tempo to stress a block. In my evaluation, she is not receiving enough credit for how instrumental she was in A5's undefeated run. Offensive dominance does not happen without surgical distribution, and Torrance provided exactly that. Her command of the offense, combined with poise under pressure, made her one of the most impressive floor generals in the 16U division. For her elite-level production and orchestration throughout the tournament, Chelsea has absolutely earned this Top Performer honor at Triple Crown NIT.

Kendall put on a technical clinic from the middle position at the prestigious Triple Crown NIT, impacting the match on both sides of the ball for Dallas Skyline 16 Royal Jimmy. The first thing that stands out when evaluating her game is footwork. There are no wasted steps, no drifting patterns and just clean, efficient lateral movement as she closes blocks and transitions off the net. As someone who studies middles closely, footwork is always my primary evaluation point, and Hill's efficiency in this area was impressive. She rarely plays flat-footed, which keeps her explosive and balanced when moving to attack or seal the pin. Her transition from defense to offense is seamless. She gets off the net quickly, re-establishes spacing, and is immediately available as a quick option in front of the setter. Because her heels are seldom on the floor, she stays loaded and springy, making her a legitimate threat in tempo situations. What I particularly appreciated was how high and disciplined her hands remained when blocking out on the pins. By maintaining high hands before takeoff, she eliminates wasted motion and penetrates the net space with authority. That detail alone allowed her to shut down opposing attackers and funnel balls into her back-row defense. Miss Hill is currently on our watch list in the 2028 class, but performances like this are how athletes play their way into the Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. Her technical growth and physical tools are trending in the right direction. We will be monitoring her closely the rest of the season to see if she earns a spot on that list. For her outstanding production and efficiency at Triple Crown, please join us in congratulating Kendall on earning Top Performer honors at the Triple Crown NIT
