Colorado Class of 2028: Setters to Watch

<p>Setters are the engines of the offense, responsible for putting hitters in positions to succeed. The best ones can manage the pace of a match, create seams in the block, and still contribute defensively when the play breaks down.</p>   <p>The Class of 2028 has several setters already showing strong leadership and court awareness. Here are a few setters to keep on your radar.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Setters to Watch</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Adams has the length and strength to push the ball pin to pin and keep the offense spread. She does a nice job delivering hittable balls even when plays begin to break down. When she's in the front row, Adams also brings an effective dump that she disguises well, able to push the ball deep or throw it behind the outside blocker. This is a setter with tools that should continue to develop as her game grows.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Hannemann carries herself with the presence of a taller setter, using her length to deliver consistent location and tempo. She does a nice job pushing pace even when the play is slightly out of system, keeping hitters in rhythm. She plays with confidence, takes control of the offense, and contributes defensively as well, making her a reliable presence on the court.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Schmidt is a fun setter to watch run an offense. She shows strong volleyball IQ and consistently pushes tempo, helping create splits in opposing blocks for her hitters. On top of that, she is solid defensively and stays engaged in rallies. Schmidt does a nice job continuing to involve her middles even when the pass pulls the offense slightly out of system.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kreutzer brings contagious energy to the court and works hard to put her hitters in good situations. She moves well with her feet and does a nice job adjusting to the pass. She can challenge blockers with the way she pushes the ball to the right side or middle, often leaving hitters in favorable one-on-one situations.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">What's Next</h2>   <p>The setter position continues to develop across the Class of 2028 in Colorado. With their ability to control tempo, manage the offense, and support their teams defensively, these setters are already showing the tools to guide their teams as they gain more experience.</p>   <p></p>
