Dominant Champions Cup Athletes take on Badger Champs

Several teams competing were at the Champions Cup, along with numerous dominant athletes. She brought an amazing balance of fire and fun to the court, playing at a highly competitive level while also embracing the love of the game. She was fearless in her decisions and had an awesome connection with her hitters, especially when running quick-tempo balls through the middle. She really set herself apart with her scrappy defense and relentless effort on every point. Nothing ever dropped on the court. Leah made smart decisions and had clean form and fundamentals. She seems to be everywhere at once, picking up tough balls in coverage, making controlled digs, and owning freeball coverage. She is such a savvy setter with a quick touch on the ball and keen court awareness. She moved the ball around quickly and efficiently and wasn't afraid to run down out-of-system passes and make them work for her. She was so fun to watch and kept so many tough balls alive. She is not an athlete who will be caught unaware. When I saw her play, she was playing all 6 rotations, and she never gave up on the ball. Every aspect of her game was aggressive and gritty. What makes her so invaluable on the court is her relentless consistency. She was reliable on offense, defense, and serve receive, and had great court awareness. Leila definitely showed her powerhouse swing throughout the tournament, which earned points, but her ability to deliver consistently from the first match through the championship really set her apart as a 6-rotation pin.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
