They weren't just reacting, they were reading, closing space, and forcing hitters to adjust swing after swing. From disciplined footwork to pressing over the tape, these middles made every point contested.   What stood out was their timing and willingness to stay engaged in every sequence. Whether it was tracking the setter, getting hands across on the block, or staying available in transition, they showed a strong understanding of how to impact both sides of the ball early in their development.
