The Houston area just had one of its busiest weekends in the club season, with the traditional Nike Cross Court Classic coming to town.

The gigantic tournament brought over 700 club teams from Texas and beyond, split into 30 divisions, to the George R Brown Convention Center, in downtown, for two days of intense and fast-paced action between Saturday and Sunday.

Nike Cross Court Classic - 15 Open Division Photos

Prep Dig Texas was on-site on Sunday morning, when we got to check out the top eight teams in the 15 Open Division, which were playing elimination rounds after ranking first or second in their pools on Saturday. There was some serious talent on the court, and now we'll list the prospects who caught our eye with their strong play. It's time we cover the liberos:

Adkins was with the AP 14 Adidas team that had a strong display over the weekend, finishing second in the 15 Open division with four wins and two losses. Her quickness in the back row was a huge asset for her, as it helped her get to the ball in serve-receive, while also putting her in great spots to play defense. Adkins also showed excellent ball control, generating many transition plays for her team with her solid defense. The libero was very disciplined when covering her hitters and helped recover the ball on many occasions.

Garza played for the Alamo 15 Premier side that tied for third with three wins and two losses. She led the team's back row efforts by making the most of her superior technical skills and demonstrating impressive consistency. Garza handled a lot of ground in serve-receive and was very quick to get to the ball and deliver accurate passes to her setter. The libero also did well on defense, touching on many balls and generating transition opportunities for her team. Garza's transition setting was also on point, as she used her hands to feed her hitters almost every time and was always very accurate with her locations.

Kelley was one of the standouts in the New Age 15 Select team that ended up tied for seventh with three wins and two losses. Her impressive ball control raised the level of her team's back row game, both in serve-receive and when playing defense. Kelley was very good at keeping great body balance before making contact with the ball and was very quick to get to tips and deflected shots. The libero stepped up to set in transition when needed and did a good job of putting the hitters in good spots to score.

Spidle was one of the liberos in the United VBA 15 Purple team that tied for seventh after getting two wins and three losses. She split time on the court with Shelby Newman and was very efficient with her production. Spidle showed great ball control in serve-receive and when asked to set in transition, doing a good job of getting her body under the ball and being consistent with her locations. The libero also made an impact from the service line.
