Ohio Prospects Arriving on the Radar at Mid-Season

She has good patience to see what's happening across the net while stopped and balanced to be able to make a good first step to play the ball. Her composure helps her control her platform and create effective angles behind the ball. Defensively, she has quickness to be able to chase down the ball and create more opportunities for her team. She and her Force VB team will next compete at MEQ.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='804817' first='Ayla' last='Filisky']</strong><br>A 5'9 pin, Filisky was productive this past fall 2025 for Lake. She earned 224 total kills as one half of their primary point scoring duo. Through an average of 3.0 k/s and .262 efficiency, she bested her 2024 output and now has 359 total kills heading into her senior season this next fall. Filisky has a live arm that can provide good force on the ball, which also helped her at the service line as she earned a team high 49 aces.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='807381' first='Sophia' last='Raguz']</strong><br>Raguz is a 5'10 middle that hails from one of the best high school programs in Ohio at Lake Catholic. Just shy of 100 total kills in 2025 for the Cougars, she did well with her opportunities on a .228 efficiency and 39% kill rate. Competing with Force 17 National, she is capable of contributing offensively at a higher rate as she moves well around her setter to allow her high elbow contact to guide the ball to the edges of the opposing defense, whether in front or behind the setter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Gabby Green</strong><br>Green has good potential as a middle from Shaker Heights. She has good length and is athletic to get up and make a good play on a higher two-tempo ball in the middle or at the right pin, which includes her development of approach patterns off of both feet or one-foot to expand her versatility and options offensively. Green can swing aggressively and is also crafty to make a smart play when the set or her timing are disconnected. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='827992' first='Whitley' last='Rockhill']</strong><br>Rockhill is a 2027 middle from Aurora. She earned some good experience in 2025 that lead to 1.2 k/s for the Greenmen. At 5'8, she jumps well and swings with a high elbow contact that helps her reach and get on top of the ball when on time around her setter. Competing with Nova Juniors' top 17U team, she helps her effort by creating a big runway when hitting, which helps with momentum build to drive off the court.
