<p>We are just days away from play at Lonestar Classic in Houston. Three weekends for talent to earn their way to nationals, and we're starting now. If you've been keeping up, we have highlighted 15u and 16u players that will be in the house. Now, it's on you 17s! She is an intelligent floor general who keeps her offense flowing with precision. She does a phenomenal job consistently moving the ball around to keep blockers guessing while maintaining a reliable tempo. Her decision-making allows her hitters to stay in rhythm, and her leadership helps stabilize the entire offense. From the service line, Sophee delivers a clean, controlled serve that applies pressure without sacrificing consistency. She also brings an aggressive edge to her game, unafraid to attack a defense with a well-timed dump, making her a constant dual threat and forcing opponents to stay honest.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='433621' first='Alyssa' last='Dickey'], disciplined libero for Skyline 17 Royal – Sean. She is everything a team wants in a defender, bringing consistency, awareness, and energy to the court. She moves seamlessly with the flow of the play, positioning herself to make key digs while also providing excellent coverage for her hitters. Alyssa is always prepared to step up in out-of-system situations, helping keep her team in rhythm even under pressure. Her communication stands out just as much as her defense—she is constantly talking, directing, and encouraging her teammates. She is a true leader in the back row and a stabilizing presence for her squad.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='580058' first='Olivia' last='Pierce'], right-side for 360 17 HP Elite, is a textbook, fundamentally sound hitter who brings consistency and power to every rally. Her transition work is disciplined and repeatable, allowing her to be available and effective in all offensive situations. Olivia's swing is strong and well-controlled, enabling her to terminate with confidence while minimizing errors. Combined with her impressive vertical, she presents a challenge for opponents on both sides of the net—elevating high above the block as an attacker and providing a solid presence defensively at the net.<br></p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">17 Open - LS</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='845085' first='Rylie' last='Coates'], right-side for Alamo 17 Premier, brings a fierce, aggressive presence to the net that impacts the game on both sides of the ball. Defensively, Rylie excels at setting a strong, well-formed block, consistently taking away angles and making life difficult for opposing hitters. Her instincts and timing allow her to get hands on just about anything that comes across the net, turning would-be kills into controlled plays and giving her team valuable opportunities to transition.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Esther Royal – Priest, outside hitter for SA Juniors 17 Adidas, is a strong and consistent presence on the court who contributes in every phase of the game. She is reliable as an attacker, taking quality swings when called upon, and just as dependable defensively with her ability to pass and dig effectively. Esther's serve is solid and controlled, helping her team apply steady pressure from the service line. What truly stands out is her energy—she plays with a level of intensity and focus that matches her performance, bringing a steady, competitive spark to her team from start to finish.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='438670' first='Arayah' last='Watson'], MB/OH for HJV 17 Elite, is the ultimate versatile player who can impact the game from any position. In the middle, she commands the net with a powerful presence, challenging every attack and making her blocks a constant threat. When positioned at the pin, her swing is confident and precise, consistently turning opportunities into points. On top of her attacking and blocking, Arayah's serve is strong and aggressive, adding another weapon to her all-around game. Her ability to excel in multiple roles makes her a matchup nightmare for opponents and a cornerstone for her team's success.</p>
