Morgan smacks solid crosses, jumping high above the net. She makes things happen at all six positions on the court at both Vortex and Soddy Daisy. Morgan is especially tough on pipe plays. Morgan has outstanding line shots. Davis pounds hard line shots and adjusts well if sets are off to send balls to open spots on the court. Davis mixes in tip shots and hits off blocks for key points. She takes controlled approaches on the outside. She takes hard swings on one play then takes things off to land soft ones in the middle, using a stout volleyball IQ. Carroll smacks balls down the lines on go routes. Carroll also makes things happen out of system. Carroll puts good topspin on her serves and makes sound first touches. Winsett has a great net approach, gets on top of balls then finishes with a good wrist snap. Winsett steadies her body to carry momentum to the sides of blockers. Winsett is especially effective on go routes. Phillips can smack balls to corners and pull back to put off shots in the middle. Phillips can even use her height to hit balls over and around blockers. Phillips can take balls in the back row and aim them to the side lines away from defensive specialists.
